DIY: Add a sub to your Bose equipped G35 Coupe
Pretty simple.
I have a 2006 G35 coupe with bose/bluetooth.
when you guys disconnect the rear 6x9 subs are you just cutting the wires from the bose amp outputs? Or the inputs? Or is there a physical clip near the 6x9's that I can actually disconnect? I've tried accessing the 6x9's from the trunk but I started seeing adhesive pull near the rear window trim so I stopped.

According to the service manual, the amp power signal wire on an 04 coupe is sky blue at the amp harness, but it's green/yellow at the back of the radio.
Yes. As far as I know, all JL amps support differential-balanced signals.
Thanks!
I'm a major newbie when it comes to anything audio. I've always had a stereo store install for me.. but I figure I'd try my hand at installing myself. I hope I don't ruin anything, haha.
I ended up choosing an IDQ 10" Sub, Zenclosure ( I couldn't for the life of me find a 4080 ), Acousta-stuf for the enclosure, and JL 500/1v2 amp

No. It's output is far below the minimum of any decent 12" sub. It outputs *maybe* 20w RMS to the sub channel.
