Service Engine Light After Install

Tonight I installed an amplifier along with a subwoofer in my g35 coupe. I installed the amp with the speaker wire to rca connector from JL Audio. The sub and amp are working perfectly but after reconnecting my battery, I noticed that the service engine light has came on. I was careful when I installed everything and Im not sure what it could be. The only thing I can think of is water getting in the engine bay because it is raining and I had my hood open and the car wasn't fully in my garage. Any suggestions? I disconnected the negative and the car is parked in the garage so I am going to see if it goes away by tomorrow morning.

Hmmm... Never heard of this before. I don't know why water would make a difference.

I dunno either because if any water got in, it was only a little bit of rain...

It's possible that water got in through the main grommet you punched for the battery cable for the amp. I put a bead of silicone around the wire to prevent water from seeping through.

I actually sealed it with silicone as well. But if water did get through there, how would that throw the Check engine light?

That grommet has a main harness going through it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the ECU located under the dash on the passenger side?

Im not sure if it is or not. If so, that can be another possibility.

Why don't you just get the code check first.
