how long does the stock battery last?
How long does the stock battery last? I have an 05 g35x with 62000 miles.
Im planning to take a 1000 mile trip this thanksgiving to vermont. And its cold up there. Don't want my battery to fail. Have a bad experience with my old car.
What do you guys think? should i just replace my battery with a new one?

I wanted something that didn't "off gas" and was unspillable. They also are much more vibration resistant. Are they worth it? Depends on your definition of "worth it" is. I think they are the best you can buy, so it was worth it to me.
The problem is the size and the reverse terminals. Every place I went could "order it" for me, so I thought I would just get it from Amazon. Interstate battery wanted $220 after Tax, Disposal fee and core charge. Screw that!

Did you ask why? Did you return it? Did the shop that sold it to you make good on it?
I have a yellow top that I use for my Ham radios in the field, I charge it once a YEAR and it stays charged until I use it.

I'm really stunned at the number of people whom have been replacing their stock batteries. Much like you Gordgee my father has a 03.0 Sedan 5AT it was in Saskatchewan prior to being brought to Edmonton (now in Kelowna). He has never had a problem with his battery, though granted it is rarely parked outside. I think as long as you look after the battery, top up water levels et al it lasts a LONG LONG time.
That being said, I cannot believe in this day and age that Nissan would put a battery that needs water added yearly to it??!!??
jin22gt as far as your battery goes, unless it has already given you issues I see no need to replace it? But if you want to spend a few bucks for piece of mind then go for it man!! Remember Vermont isn't that cold when you compare it to some of the Canadian guys that drive all year round!
