It's just a regular PAC LOC with 2 extra brown ground wires. Could that be the reason n what wires should I connect them to. And could a bad ground for the amp be the problem?

WOw,worked great on my 2004 g35x, took almost 1.5 hours for me. The most difficult part was running the power wire to the trunk. But great write-up. Need more diy's like this

^ yep these steps will work.. cant really see in the pic and no model number on your amp but i would recommend using high level input if you just want a quick install with a little thump (seriously fast install, had all the parts ready before i started and all of it was in and working in maybe 15 minutes).. if your going for loud that hits hard with a quality sound youll get rid of that bose headunit and bose amp and start doing it the proper way.. i turn the volume up and im embarassed because the bose amp has such funny EQ that it makes it sound like any cheap sub and amp when i spent good money on them. DDin going in hopefully 2 weeks though.. ease vs quality pick your poison.. p.s. if you previously had those subs in another car with an aftermarket deck and you think its going to sound like that youre going to be very sadly disappointed. Bose Premium FTL

I know it's 3 months late but ever give 8" woofers a thought? I love my Sundown SA-8, Alpine's new 8" Type-R is decent, and I've installed a few Kicker L7s in various Miatas. If you're stuck on JL, they have a W7 but I would be willing to put up my Sundown SA-8 to that W7 any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Especially when you're looking at $350ish for the W7 versus $120 for the SA-8. They are BEASTS lol
