Installing the Kenwood DNX 9140 DD Tomorrow!!!
#16
The manuals will help you a lot here. You might want to get a hold of somebody in the regional forums from your area.
First set of pics - Connecting the two harnesses isn't bad, it's mostly just color-to-color, but more importantly, function to function. It's usually printed on each cable or on tags connected as to what they do. The long purple one is probably the reverse one, so it can go all the way to the trunk to the reverse light's power wire, I can't remember if there's something closer to tap for that or not. The long green one's for the parking brake.
If you don't have external subs or external monitors, you won't use the RCAs.
You will use the one for the camera though, and however the iPod connector works, some go in through RCAs, some go through a dedicated USB input on the back, I'm not familiar enough with the 9140 to tell you for sure.
As for the camera you have and the steering wheel adapter - I've never worked with either of the ones you have, so manual's your friend there.
Not sure on the blue relay harness either.
If you're completely lost here, you probably should just take all you have and head to an installer.
