Not sure if it'd be okay to post this here, but.....

My stock bose DD is dieing like where it shuts down on it's own and all that fun stuff.. so in the future when it gets worse or it dies completely.. I'd like to replace it. I'm on a budget, but was thinking about this

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_020CX50...FFDouble%40DIN

So i'm guessing it'd probably cost me around $400 after getting all the stuff to install it, but my question is.. would I have to get a new amp?

You don't need a new amp if you use the PAC ROEM-NIS2 harness.

That radio though... I'd go with a nice single-din over that.

I have one question with the steering control I'll be using a Pioneer 930BT not the 920BT should I use the PAC or Metra?

Hmmm is it really that bad lol? The single din's look kind of weird fitting into that spot because it leaves a big space open. Rather get a DD to fill up the entire area.

Since the 930BT removed the voice command feature that the 920BT had, (I guess they wanted more differentiation between the X930 and Z130) I'd go with the Metra Axxess, as the only reason I recommend the PAC right now is to be able to map a button to the voice command feature.

Well, the factory units were made by clarion, and they fail like crazy, I've got something against clarion in general.

You can always put a good standalone EQ in the spot beneath the stereo, or a cubby hole perfect for holding your iPod.

Hmm.. you've got a point, but I figured that it might be different because most of the reviews that it's gotten have been positive.

I'm on a budget, but I guess I might be able to spend an extra $50 and get this instead.

The EQ is an option, but I'm not sure about the cubby hole. I think the empty spot would bother me too much lol.

My personal opinion is stick with Pioneer or Kenwood only. I have always bought Pioneer and never had any issues or regrets.

Wtffffffffffffffffff???

I guess I just don't know how to search lol. Are there any other sites that I should be aware of?

I just went on crutchfield because they'd give a discount on the DD adapter.

There's alot of cheaper options out there lol.

Like this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...WX-GT77UI.html

and this for example

I'd stick with the Pioneer.
