Also you guys think its safe for me to get the 12v for the camera from my amps distributor block?
Thanks
That should be fine for drawing the power.

I don't know the exact wire up front, I've never put a rear camera in so never had the need to look it up.

Getting ready to do my aftermarket DD swap into my 03 G35 sedan with Bose. My JDM DD kit should be here soon.

I'm still on the fence about getting the steering wheel controller part because cutting OEM wires and such. The car will be sold in June/July when the Subaru BRZ comes out. I'll likely pull everything and put the Bose back into. The fewer parts, the better I'm thinking.

Questions:

1) Can I use the OEM headunit mounting bracket? I'm getting a DD headunit.
2) Is the DD trim piece/surround definitely needed or should I wait until I get my headunit and test fit into the JDM DD finisher?

1) Yes, if you needed to buy something else, it'd be on the shopping list.
2) It'll leave a gap with most units if you don't get the trim, but if you are getting rid of the car, don't bother.

Is there any soldering needed with the PAC ROEM-NIS2? Are there any installations instructions for that?

EDIT: This picture answered my question. I'm glad I don't have to hack into the factory wires. That end is plug and play.

You'll want to solder it to the new headunit's harness, but other than that, it doesn't require cutting the factory harness. The steering wheel controls, however, still need to be tapped into the factory wiring.

Thanks!

I saw in another link a member used the white plug from his stock headunit to make a plug and play harness for the Metra Axxess ASWC. Once I make the harness where does that white plug plug into?

Wondering if there is a picture of that?

Well, if you remove the harness from your stock headunit, it plugs right back into the same harness that was plugged into it before. None of the harnesses back there are interchangeable, so it's pretty much idiot-proof if it's put together right.

Wondering if anyone can explain what I need to buy and/or do to be able to play DVD when driving on Pioneer 4300? I understand it's not as easy as grounding the e-brake wire and there is a relay needed. Anyone have a wiring diagram??

It's the same bypass as 99.9% of the radios out there, just check youtube.
