Thanks for the reply but, I feel I should rephrase. The PAC OEM-1 seems to be the stereo harness. The Scosche harness seems to be both the SWC and a standard harness. I believe all I need is the SWC and associated wiring. Not the redundant harnesses. I think I have it figured out but, would I splice in the appropriate wires for the SWC before the OEM-1, or after? Another question, the Scosche has three white harnesses and the PAC only has two any insight to that? Thanks and I hope that is clarifying.

I hate to ask this but I'm going to attempt to install my new DD headunit in my 2005 G35x w/bose but no nav tomorrow morning. I have purchased the following and want to make sure I have everything.
JVC KW-M740BT
ROEM-NIS2 -
ASWC-1
antenna adapter
Metra 95-7605A
Do I wire my new head unit adapter to the ROEM-NIS2 and then connect the ROEM-NIS2 to the factory harness? My other concern is that I saw some say they needed an extra scosche adapter ring around the headunit or should it fit without it?

THANK YOU Wrathernaut for this excellent write-up. I wouldn't have done it myself without the instructions, comments and feedbacks; I was def. not trying to pay someone an arm and leg to do it, haha. So I did the installation on Sunday and took me a couple of hours. I also installed a backup camera since I already had access to the back of the radio. Everything went well, however the part I had the most difficult time with was the Axxess aswc-1 steering wheel control. After multiple resets and wiring swapping the steering wheels controls decided to work! The aftermarket headunit with the JDM bezel look 100% better than stock. Here's mines

Hi there, so volume up/down, seek up/down and mode works. The only thing that doesnt work is the power button. I remember reading though the pages of the forum saying it’s not suppose to? Correct me if I am wrong. But I can live with the power button not working. Lol.

Recently, I noticed my seek down button doesnt work but it will work when Im switching tracks. I'm not even sure if it was working when I first installed it. Probably just needs a reprogram, which I might attempt tomorrow.

I couldnt get my power button to work either. I asked around and it seems nobody else has gotten it to work either. So Im guessing it is just unprogrammable.

I am using the aswc with a JVC hu in my 03 coupe, and the power button on the wheel functions as an attenuate button.
