from what i have read i think WE (Dwalt024) might be out of luck with this.. This what I got from the Pioneer folks:
Mr. Adams,

Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics.

The AVHP8400BH is compatible with Android phones for bluetooth audio and hands free calling only.

An update has not been released on this unit. If one does, the way it is provided depends.

Sincerely,

Teresa

I'm not sure on the videos, but depending on the file format, they may play by using the android as a USB drive.

As far as app mode with android, that's limited to the AppRadio right now. I'm *really* hoping that when manufacturers update their headunits for the new iPhone, they'll give android support its due. MHL is a pretty decent standard now, and is sort of supported with the Appradio, so I'd love to see it in their mainstream devices.

So long as the apps you're using for audio do bluetooth streaming and the remote control protocol (AVRCP) you can at least use basic controls for them through the headunit.

looks like I have the headunit, the wiring harness to go from the radio tothe PAC ROEM harness(PAC not included), USB Male to Female cable, some screws, the remote, and a trim piece for fitment (but I also ordered the scosh trim from amazon). There are 3 manuals, a slip of paper showing the warranty, and as a nice little sack/bag that im guessing holds the excess materials... when I figure out how to post pics I'll put some up unless someone here alredy has pics...? Or i can email them to you directly.
And it came with a mic, but I followed wrathernaut's advice and got the garmin mic since he's pro at this and has had no issues with it whatsoever.

PAC (Pacific Audio Corp) is the manufacturer of the ROEM adapter. (The -NIS2 part is the wiring harness that actually connects to the ROEM adapter to the Nissan wiring harness.

ETA: I swapped my wife's Pioneer mic for the Garmin finally. Huge difference in quality. If she hadn't told me she was driving while talking to me, I would have never guessed.

I know of one in south Georgia if you're up for a drive. My "prices" cannot be beat.

Well, no idea what installers are good down there. Best Buys can be hit or miss, it all depends on the individuals who work there.

i don't think i would try best buy.. I had them install a radio about 10 years ago.. and they could not get a feature to work correctly. I had to take it to another shop and they got it working the right way

You need a HDMI to composite video (RCA) adapter, and you'll run that into the video input of the 8400 to get it on the screen. The 8400 won't display that video while the vehicle is in motion.
