im getting mixed reviews abut the metra vs pac, which one is better for this unit?

Lij1 - For this unit use the PAC-ROEM if you are intending to keep your factory Bose.

For this unit you should use the Metra. The PAC is only necessary for units with voice input.

I want to thank everyone for the info. My H/U is sitting flush and everything is working properly. In a previous post someone mentioned the ability to play Netflix through advanced app mod. Does my Ipod touch need to be jail broken in order to do this?

 

No need to jailbreak. I've watched youTube on my deck thus far but it's been so long since I did it that I don't even remember how I got there. I'll mess around with it and see what I figure out.

and ipod cable

extra usb cable

for 03 -04 dont buy the scortch trim kit.. useless and doesnt fit

also if u wanna by pass ur gonna need a module

and to actaully enjoy all and full option must get the ipod / iphone cable 201s

i wanna watch my videos/movies that are on my hard drive. but for some reason wont play

any1 know what format they have to be ?/

i bought the CD-IU201S cable and im using this with a nano, is it normal for it to take like 30s-1min for my stereo to detect it?

 

Any idea which video format can b played thru usb ?

And which module can u use 2 by pass. N how. ?

Just have a quick question when installing the back up cam on the 8400BH. I just bought a basic Koolertron License Plate Rear View Backup Camera from amazon to see how it worked. But there are 2 wires coming off of the license plate side of the unit, a positive and a negative wire. I do not know where to connect those two? I know the purple/white wire from the pioneer unit goes to the rear reverse light wire. But I was not sure where these 2 wires go?

With the IPOD cable you purchased - do you use an iphone4/4s or an ipod touch? I plan to use my 7th gen ipod classic and am wondering if that cable is needed to improve the navigation throughout the ipod like it is with the iphone/ipod touch...

 

teflon_don, did you end up getting rid of the static issue completely? and if so what ended up being the problem? my avh-p8400bh is doing the exact same thing (extremely bad on bass booster eq)
