I am installing a Accele rs505. It's just a wireless keypad you can use to lock/unlock your car, like the Ford system. I've added it to two other cars without issue, but having a little trouble with the G. I have an 07 Coupe. I hooked up the system how I thought it should be done, but the locks don't activate. All I need this thing to do it unlock the doors. I have constant power and negative. I hooked the unlock wire to the unlock wire (light blue) in the driver door. I can here the device click. I can measure it passing voltage when it clicks, but the car does not respond.
Does anyone have a though on which wire(s) I'd connect this to? here's a link to the product on amazon. I do not need lights, or aux, or anything. just lock and unlock.
If I'm reading that manual correctly, the "sky blue" unlock wire in the door would need to be grounded to send the unlock signal, not +12. Can the rs505 do that? That little "Power Window Main Switch" in the door has a processor in it, it's actually one of our black boxes.

yes, it can do - signal. If you look at the bottom left of the diagram above, it shows a negative signal capability.
I guess what I really want to know is, should a negative signal sent to the sky blue wire in the drivers door panel trigger an unlock? If so, I'll dig in to how to get this thing wired up.
Yes I think so. Grounding that sly blue wire should be the same as turning the physical key in the door to "unlock". That may only unlock your driver's door though. I don't think you can tap into the master lock switch which is part of the 'Power Window Main Switch" because it looks like that's built into that circuit board.
Agreed...but I haven't found a better solution if i want to lock my keys in the car. Any better ideas would be great! I could hide a key, but ive gotten in the habit of having a keypad that I'd be crawling under the car to retrieve the hidden one all the time.

These cars did come from the factory with two sets of keys and fobs (not to mention the wallet key and I think even a valet key). If you don't currently have both, get a cheap aftermarket fob off of Ebay and pair it to the BCM.

yeah. I have an extra fob but I like not having the keys in my pocket at pool/beach/hike/gym/etc.
I don't keep a key under the car, I have a KEY FOB taped to the inside of my rear bumper. Took some creative ziplock baggy work to make it waterproof. Use an adhesive backed zip tie mount holder and gorilla glue it to the inside of your rear bumper, somewhere that's easy to reach. Then use a zip tie to attach the key ring loop of the fob to the holder (poke holes in the double ziplock baggy to get the zip tie in and wrap the zip tie tightly with electrical tape to stiffen the whole setup so it doesn't loosely flop around).
I went with the key fob instead of a key because it's cheaper and you can program it yourself
I have a spare key that I shaved the head off. Made it narrow enough to fit inside my wiper arm. Wrapped it with some waterproof tape and ziptied it in the arm somewhere.
