i took the whole trunk out and found the bose amp on the left side and then there was this white plug on the side of the amp maybe about 2 3 inch's away and i think that's the wire's for xm radio....is that it or no?.....and if not then what the hell is that wire for ?

The VIN #s aren't as accurate as we thought- I'm before the cutoff VIN, yet I'm prewired, as are many at my local dealership. Here's a quick, foolproof, and FAST way to find out if you are prewired:
1.Open driver's door
2.Look at the frame of the car (not on the door) by the drivers seat. You will see a protrusion, which is where the door-latch catches. It looks like a square 'handle' about 1.5inches wide. Directly above or below, IF you are prewired, there should be a black sticker with white writing on it. If not, you'll just see a shining car frame. Don't look too hard, it'll jump out at you if it's there... if you can't find it, you don't have it.

btw, my G is coming next week, but i didn't ask for the VIN #, should i've ask for it? or doesn't matter...?

 

the sticker thing isn't accurate either. I'm over the vin#'s, dont have the sticker, and I'm prewired.

neohh: some of the earlier cars don't have plug n play so to speak for the Satellite radio, if its a car that your waiting on, It will be ready for Satellite, so don't worry. As for VIN #, god yes, GET YOUR VIN # man.

You are prewired man. Trust me I know. I ordered the harness cause everyone said I did have one. So I bought on and during the installation I realized I was prewired. Even though my vin number was before the cut off number.
