Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

the sunroof board is goin to have to go under the dash and be a little harder to install. it will not hook up into the window ones. its goin to be totally different. so i would not wait till the sunroof ones come out to buy the window one. the sunroof mod will prolly goin to take a while to perfect, test, and build, just like the window mod. but ill be right there for beta testing when it comes out.

alos right now im in the process of sifting through the thread and copyin the info on the vdc and sunroof so we can start new threads that are for those to modules

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

As per usual, Dan is right again! For those who have not read the entire thread (and I don't blame you) my whole project was based around being able to raise the windows without having to run wires through the door grommet/plug. Once this task was acomplished it will be much easier to install an aftermarket alarm and have all the features built in without running the 4 necesarry wires into the door. But, things have changed since the beginning and now my focus is on improving the factory alarm to the point that an aftermarket alarm isn't needed. OK, I'm rambling again...
The sunroof module has to tap into the sunroof switch. This means runing two wires up the A-pillar and across the roof, something that not all people will be able to acomplish. After that, all other connections will be at the BCM and the Ignition harness. It will work alongside the window mod, but in no way can it be incorporated into it unfortunately. Had the nice folks at Nissan not put molex plugs in the doors that might have been feasable.
I've been really lazy lately and working way too hard at my real job to work on these modules. As of right now I have 0 ready to mail out, but 15 or so that are almost done. Tonight I'm going out to South St. in Philly to 'see' the sights. (see = drink) My boss told me that after one more week in Philly I'll be working out of my house for two weeks, so that will give me time to get everything in order and start selling these things. Fluffydot PM your number I want to talk to you about the timing issue. Mine isn't that particular and I would like to know how touchy yours is. If you would like to preorder either a sunroof module, a window module, an electronic twin turbo module, or a 'make your car fly' kit please forward payment immediately to DucatiGuy@GuessWhereIAm.com.

Haha,

Kevin

I have received quite a few PMs about the modules. We are still in the 'building up the inventory' stage. Very soon we will start selling them. I don't want to start selling them and run out right away, so that is the delay. Check this thread because I will announce when they go on sale here, and only here.

Maybe you should announce it on a seperate thread. This one is really long and im not sure how many people frequently check out a thread this long. Just a though. Im very interested too.

How much are these window roll up units going to be again? Thanks.

Kevin, seeing how you've gone through all that unforseen R&D to perfect this device... I, for one, think you should charge more than $40. After all, you did get that speeding ticket trying to rush this along.

Ron.

MOTIVE: my brother is a software-hardware developer in CA, and he always puts in more hours than he charges for. He just has some kind of integrity or something.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

I'm not sure where the $40 came from. We are planning on charging around $40 for the VDC module, and around $60 for the Window Up module. Luckily I lost count of the hours I've put into programming, building, testing, debugging, reworking, etc... If I were to add it all up I am sure I would realize I am making under minimum wage for all of this! But, one of our main objectives is to keep everything cheap enough that people can't pass up the chance to buy it.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

i think it came from:
<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

It works!!!!!

I can put my windows up using my factory transmitter. I also have Igniton controlled locking. Let me know who all is interested so I can estimate how many boards to make. Using professional boards is going to drive the cost up a bit, but, will provide for a far more reliable part. All units will be tested before shipped. With the professional boards pricing will be $40, fully assembled. I will also sell individual pre-programmed chips and all the parts and schematics needed for $25. Let me know what you all think!
