Initial Install Report:

Well I can report back and say that the new module seems to be working just fine on my car. I'd like to thank Dan and friends for coming over and doing the entire install. I hope your ribs were good last night . For those that don't know, Dan will travel to all ends of the earth and do this install for you for a free dinner.

This morning I went out to my car and the passenger door was locked. I thought to my self, that's wierd, then I remembered that I had Daniel set the auto lock feature, I then grinned and thought "that's cool".

I just thought that $66.00 (incl. shipping and insurance) was too cheap for things to go off w/o a hitch. That's all...

Haha, thats funny. We were actually planning on sending you a few dollars back. There is no reason you should pay more then other people, especially because KPtechnologies did not send you the correct price.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

OK, I got mine in the mail last week. It's in, it works great, and I love it. Right now I can see my car from my office window, and can roll the windows up down at my every whim!

A pal who has a 350Z roadster says he is ordering one today. It took me a minute to figure out how to program the auto-lock though, I didn't know I needed to have the door open during the proceedure.

Fantastic product KP, I'll be back for the sunroof mod!

Did I actually misspell "procedure", and why can't I edit posts?

Having the door open is essential, it just defeats the RAP system which can cause the programming to mess up.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

I believe all the version 1 boards that had any issues at all have now been replaced with our version 2 board. Is anyone else having any issues at all with these? I've been working on the sunroof mod a little lately, hopefully I'll have it in my car in the next 2-4 weeks to start the next stage of testing. At this rate it will be ready for release right before NEXT summer...

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

I'm sort of having an issue with mine... It is hard to actually get the timing right for the windows to roll up. I click it twice and nothing happens, I try again, nothing happens. It usually works on the third try.

I ordered mine a long time ago, and just had a chance to put it in recently (but I can't play with it right now because I'm in Germany).

how long do you wait in between clicks. you need to do it kinda fast. you might be waiting too long between the pulses. the horn should go beep beep without a gap in between. next time try pushing it faster.

Actually, most people who have been having problems with timing are pushing the button too fast. They are double clicking it like a mouse on a computer. You need to leave at least .5 seconds between presses. Usually, the slower the better. If you wait a full second every time it should work everytime.

When I tried it, I was trying to click fast. When I get back home, I will try doing it slower, and see if that helps.
