DIY: OEM Emblem-less Grill
Hey if any of you guys have sent me a PM and i haven't replied please send me another, i've been swamped with PM's lately and miss some. Thanks!! BTW i'll be making an official thread for my grills, stay tuned!!!
Has anyone tried a nice black/bronze grill? Or did majority of the people do a flat black grill? I'm debating whether or not to paint it flat black or try to work my way to make a black/bronze grill.
More details? PM me please
^ go to www.alsacorp.com and look at the product called killer chrome.
to get a good finish, spray the grill gloss black, clear coat it, and let it cure overnight. after 24 hours, give it a few dust coats of killer chrome, wipe off the excess coating, and let it sit for an hour. you can then give it another few coats of clear.
you'll get the best results if you get the grill as smooth as possible and don't use too much killer chrome. also, apply the killer chrome in the day time so you can see whether you're applying too much.

I'm just finishing up this project and wanted to say thanks for the DIY info. I had to rush it a little since this is my daily and 50 degree weather doesn't help either so it could have come out better IMO. I think I'll do the valve covers this wknd.
