^I'm thinking about doing the clock bezel in flat black after I get my double din kit (going with flat black on it) and black suede inserts in the seats.

This picture made me laugh the hardest... especially since I took Organic Chemistry a year ago.
Had to remove some cranial cobwebs on this one since I took Orgo more than a decade ago. Good stuff OP.

One suggestion to anyone doing this. If you don't have any rubbing alcohol and are going to buy it, look for something that's closer to 99% rather than the standard 70%. The 99% leaves less of itself behind than the 70%, which comes in handy when you're cleaning a CPU prior to thermal greasing it. Same thing applies here.

^That is very true.

I use 91% when I can. It's readily available at drug stores. You might even find 91% at Wal Mart. And it does dry out a lot quicker than 70%.

Anyone know of a paint code available that I can have my client's body shop refinish the trim pieces to the stock shiny "titanium" finish?

Anyone try either of these products to refinish the plastic trim to a color as close to stock?

Rustoleum Metallic Aluminum

http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=374

or

Krylon Fusion for Plastic Metallic Shimmer in the Nickel finish

http://www.krylon.com/products/fusio...allic_shimmer/.

^Good question. The Rustoleum looks like it might be a bit too shiny worth giving it a shot I guess.

Also, your link is broken for the krylon, but I found it anyway. Here's the proper link:

I agree...however it seems to have a sating finish rather than a smooth glossy finish.

That would mean that a clearcoat would be needed atop to match the stock finish, right?

I FINALLY got around to taking a pic with my SLR.
After 5 months, they're still perfect. (and this is the driver's side which gets the most use)
