Stillen sucks!

I ordered a rear strut bar from Stillen on May 16. They e-mailed me back to say that the strut bar was back ordered two weeks. No big deal, lot's of parts are on back order for our cars. After three weeks no strut bar, so I call Stillen. They are missing a nut or bracket or some b.s., and can't send it out just yet. So I get another e-mail on Monday(june 19th) with a UPS tracking number which says I'll get it today(june 22nd). Uh, it's after 7 pm and no strut bar. WTF. Anybody else have this problem with Stillen. I've usually bought Stillen parts from other vendors because Stillen usually doesn't have the best price on their own stuff(go figure). I probably won't buy from Stillen again.

Maybe you should be mad at UPS instead of Stillen. Once your package gets into the UPS system, Stillen has nothing to do with the delivery. I mean, it's not like Stillen contacted UPS and told them not to deliver it to you today

BTW...UPS sucks.

I try not to order directly from Stillen too. I've ordered stuff from them over the past 6 or 7 years as a last resort. I had them send me a UD pulley for my Maxima a few years back and the sent the wrong belts, the wrong $50 dollar belts!. I sent them back and bought regular belts from Pep boys for less than $10. Unfortunately, it was a hassle because I didn't know I had the wrong belts until I tried to install them. Recently I ordered my intake from them online and couldn't get a tracking number. I call and ask for it and the rep tells me they don't issue tracking numbers for online purchases. Yeah, right. just another example of consistantly bad service.

I think you might have missed the point here. The part being several WEEKS late is not the fault of UPS. One day due to a shipping mix up is understandable, a delay because of mising bolts (or whatever is was) is another.

I don't own anything Stillen, and am 100% sure that I will never own anything from them.

I just don't think that they are decent enough compared to other companies. Same thing with Borla.

Maybe I did mis-interpret the original post.

If I were him, I'd be frustrated at Stillen also. But this quote, "Uh, it's after 7 pm and no strut bar. WTF." is what led me to think that he is more frustrated with the fact that the bar did not come in on the specified day rather than the part being on back order for weeks.

I don't mean to be an @sshole or anything. I just wanted to point out that the fact that it's one day late is not Stillen's fault, but that being on back order for 3 weeks is.

Try 5 weeks. I know it's no big deal for UPS to be a day late, but after 5 weeks of Stillen's B.S. I have lost my patience. If the strut bar is not here today, I'm calling Stillen not UPS, and I'm asking for a discount, or take the strut bar back and refund my account. No, your not an @sshole, just a dork for not reading the whole post.

Stillen is somewhat famous for their "customer service" such as it is. Your experience is not unusual. There are some real Stillen haters on some of the Z/G websites.
