anyone get grief from the dealer that had an aftermarket sway bar up front regarding warranty and replacement of compression rods? It takes a good hour or two to take front and rear off so I really don't want to have to remove them

Heard it's a typical thing that dealerships do to avoid the cost of a brand new rod, however not all delerships have a "special machine" that can take out and put in a new rubber bushings......

saying this I am not under warranty and had to buy $150 full compression rod from Riverside and got it installed locally........ suffice to say my car is 100% without any "klumping" sounds now...... hope it stays this way for a while

No, I wasn't aware of this being possible. I've always heard:

1. Infiniti does not sell the bushings as a separate part. Maybe this has changed. Can you post the part numbers from your invoice??

2. As the other post said, removing the bushings from the rod isn't easy. If it were, then they would come out too easily when driving!

There was a new TSB added for this ITB08-013. I guess Infiniti got tired of replacing the whole rod when all that was needed was the bushing.

Yep, I just downloaded it!! Wow, it only took Infiniti three years to admit this was a problem and issue a cost-effective solution.

Probably from any dealer. If they play dumb, reference the above TSB.

The trick with just purchasing the bushings is that you need a special hydraulic removal/inserter machine to swap them out of the aluminum rods. If your or your indy mechanic don't have this, you're at the mercy of the dealer to perform the whole job.

Think I am going to get the revised arms and not just the bushings. Don't want to try to repair bad ones. Just waiting on Tony to verify pricing and availability.
