Thank you Gilley $14.63 apiece. WoW! Now I am confused between replacing just the bushings in the old arms or going with the revised arms. Any suggestions?

Also how much does the dealer charge for replacing just the bushings?

I would call your service advisor and ask to get the best info, but the TSB indicates a labor-hour charge of 1.8 hrs (FRT) to replace the bushings on both sides. That figure may just apply for warranty reimbursement purposes, but it's probably a good ballpark number. In my area, that would translate to about $200 labor. Ouch.

Do you need an alignment after replacing the compression rod? Does warranty cover for the alignment?

Can someone post the TSB - ITB08-013?

And will the dealer fix this for cars outside warranty?

It is available here, but you will need to register in order to download it. The registration is free, but you can only download one item per day.

Any TSB repairs outside of warranty, which are not safety recall issues, are not covered. Sometimes, manufacturers will apply a "good will" criteria and cover you, but this is a rare exception. It wouldn't hurt to ask your service manager, especially if you have a good record of using their service department for all the 15k, 30k, 28.6k, ... service "packages", which are 80% profit loaded.

how many revisions did they make for this rod?

i have "2WL38-2" stamped on underside of the rod. I had mine changed once under warranty for drifting right tsb but i'm suspecting it threw off my caster from my original rod.

Yep my compression rods are great too. My LCA arm bushings are completely blown out on both sides. Just waiting on the right parts now.
