Looking to get a 1" drop all 'round
Hey all,
I'm kinda new to the suspension forum since I've recently realized the benefits of having a dropped G. Anyway, I found the pic below of Oh6 G35's dropped ride and fell in love. I'm ordering the 19" Ray's wheels this week and now need to find out what I gotta do to drop my G to match that pic. Oh6 G35 got Zeal XS coilovers and Swift springs. I'm not quite ready to drop $4000 on my suspension, so I was wondering....is there any way to get that same look below for let's say maybe $1000?
Gilley said maybe the S-Techs springs and D-Specs shocks could get that for me...but I was hoping you guys could give me some pointers too?
Ready to buy! Just need to know what I'm gettin'....
TIA,
B

Oh6 G35's ride dropped:
350 Z S-Tech springs with Tokico D-spec7 shocks.
Edit: You will also need, at the minimum, a rear camber kit and an alignment.

I have the Tein Basic set-up and have only a rear camber kit. My rear alignment specs are dead center factory spec. The front alignment is off a bit. However, after some 20k + miles, the front tires have worn very evenly.
Another thing to consider, if you haven't yet, your ride will be much stiffer. Based on your sig, your current springs rates are, front:314 rear: 342. With the said set-up, the spring rates will be, front: 386 rear: 402.

So if I hear you correctly, I should get:
Tein 350z S springs:

Looks like about $900 - sound right? And will this give me about an inch drop all the way round?
Thanks Andy,

Yes, those are the springs. The D-spec7's good to go or you can go with the D-spec9, as well. The D-spec9's are for the 350Z.
The SPC camber and toe bolt kit looks good. However, the actual picture only shows the 2 toe bolts. The ad does note a complete kit and the drawing does show the camber arms. You may wan t to confirm this with the seller.
Edit: Yes, this will drop you 1" all around.

Thanks A.
If I were to drop in these suspension upgrades, apart from a nice 1" drop...would there be anything else to keep in mind? I know you already said a stiffer ride...how bout handling or any wheel rubbing? Kinda new to this stuff so just trying to get a feel for what I'm gettin' into...

With regard to tire rubbing issues . . . What sort of tire/wheel set-up are you running?

I have had the 350Z H-Techs. As with many 'Driver members, we only realized a 1/4" + drop at the rear. Without further modifications, I do not recall anyone dropping more than 1/2" at the rear with the Z H-Techs.

Would these suspension upgrdes make me rub given this scenario?

it shouldn't be a problem...
...can't wait to see it, when you get it all done!
...and by the way, what "offsets" are you running?
Also, most are running 20/25mm Spacers. I just liked the way the 15/20mm combo look. ...but that's just me.
