If you can get the brakes for cheap, I'd do it. I don't think you'll be AMAZED with the 05-06 brakes, but they do offer some benefits that made it worth it for me.
Stopping power is still good. It just doesn't bite as hard initially, so modulating the brake is a lot easier. I love the fact that the pads don't create black dust as much as the 03's. Pad life is good, had mine on for about a year and a half now and still have plenty of pad left. My non sport OEM 17's fit, but I don't know about the spare. I've never tried the spare.

03-04 sedans already stop from 60-0 under 110 feet, and 70-0 under 160 feet. If u look that stat up, it is up there with the best supercars in the world. Changing it to any kind of brakes is not going to shorten that distance even if u got 16 inch BBK. To improve the fading under very harsh conditions, get the stainless steel lines and RBF600 brake fluid and get hawk pads and u will dramatically improve the fade resistance.

FWIW, i changed out the front and rear pads on my 05 at 30k. The fronts still had 6/32nds of life but the rears were toast (canyon driving and having the slip light come on too many times)

Klubbfoot. Yeah the brakes are decent as is. Unfortunately, Infiniti chooses to use some whack job pads to get that performance. Warps the rotors and dusts like crazy.
I think this might be a great upgrade (however slight) to get that same performance with maybe a more friendly pad. ie.. using the bigger calipers/rotors to up the brake torque vs using an ultra aggressive street pad.

I put set of project mu pads on my 05 with the stock rotors and i was pretty displeased with them. They dusted like crazy compared to oem pads and they ate up some good life out of the rotor as well. Plus, braking performance was un-affected from what i could tell (and i'm a very spirited driver) and they only lasted 15k miles. I have since switched back to oem pads and am once again pleased with their awesome performance.
