From the thread it looks like it could be the spring preload (I keep seeing 5mm) or the end links, I see if everything is screwed on tightly again as the first step, then check preload and then check end links. I plan on getting these so I'm researching like a mad man.

Guys, I've had my BC's since 3/2010 and have about 12k miles on them and they've been great until the last week. I've been getting this knocking noise coming from my front pass coilover going over bumps, sounds as if a swaY bar link is really loose but I've inspected everything and all components are tight. Took it to a shop and they found some play on my axle, got it fixed and noise is still there. Shop said its coming internally from the coil.
Contacted BC and they requested pics of install so waiting for them to give me some suggestions. Also, wondering if they sell just one coilover just in case I can't fix the problem.

Power by max sells the bare strut for like 300 for a set of 2 so I bet bc will have a rebuild list like that also.... Goodluck

Not sure how much for the fronts, but BC does sell replacement rear shocks for about $100 each.

Are the BC br type a true coilover or OEM style rear?

we have been running BC since 2004 on street and drift cars here in NZ still running on three racecars since then with no issues other than the top nut above the pillow ball came loose on one of the cars, it made a knocking noise.

Just installed these a couple days ago and am now wondering how to adjust the dampening in the rear. Ive searched everywhere, and there are more than 1 answer I'm seeing. First its take off the rear shock, drill a hole, install extenders, and adjust. Then I've read its somewhere in the back seat and doesnt need to be taken out to adjust? Then I've read to run it through the trunk? This is in a g35 coupe 04, so yea any help here?

Ok well I didn't need to drill anything cuz the hole is already there but anyway .... You have to run the line out the child safety hook hole.... It's a 12mm bolt that holds down the hook so just remove that and your all set.... I'll post pics when I get outta work

^ Definetly interested in pics. I already drilled through the rear speaker deck board. I used an existing hole directly above the adjustment point on the shock. From there I drilled down through the rear deck board. I can adjust with ease and minimal bending on the extenders. You can see the extenders through my back window.
