Wait, so does this do anything for those who have had their compression rod bushing(s) gone bad?

Or this a separate part?

^ yes. When your bushings go bad, the arm will have lateral movement. meaning poor alignment and it will feel like your car is kinda "walking" while driving forward. i.e. drifting slightly from left to right....even though your holding the wheel straight ahead

#1 problem with 03-06 sedan 03-07 coupe even though it falls under regular maintenance.

Anyone notice the price hike on these? I thought I saw that they were going to be $99 on their old site before they switched layouts.

Now they're $167 after a 10% reduction?

^ Kua is getting a bigger demand and he has to put in a lot of time to get his product out to his customers.

I honestly don't blame him. He makes flawless products and if people want them they will pay for them

Just got my SPL comp rod bushings installed today at 68,000 miles. The OEM ones were cracked pretty bad. Got them from Import Parts Pro and they shipped them out super fast. Got them installed today for $150. MUCH better and highly recommended- they appear to be bulletproof and should last the rest of the car's life. Quiet and smooth with no increase in NVH.

Nice write up! Still considering them, but I'm going to see if the price drops on them first.

Well, the local Infiniti dealer quoted $380 parts & labor to replace both bushings with OEM (supposedly revised design) rubber bushings. By getting the SPL's the total cost was $307 ($157 + $150 labor of my preferred mechanic) and will never have to worry about the comp rod bushings cracking again.

Here are some pics of everything. When I ordered the billing address was different from the shipping address and SPL accidentally shipped them to the billing address. They refunded the shipping charge to me and also expedited the shipping. A+ service.

Im really excited about this product. I bought a set and will be installing them this weekend! I have already replaced my compression rods twice. The last set went bad in a year and a half. I will be such a relief to not have to deal with the part going bad and the awful noise a bad stock compression rod makes when going over bumps.

For those still under warranty, just hit up Infiniti and demand that they replace the entire rod with the new revised rod. Not just the revised bushings, forced into the old rod.

There is no revised rod. Only the bushings are revised. Where did you read both are?

Somewhere on this site. I think Riverside Infinti posted a few pics. The new revised rod has a different part number. Both Rod and Bushings have been revised.

I am at 78k on my car and havent really ever paid attention honestly to these specific areas of the suspension....from what it sounds like from Finally got a G up there.....I experience those back and forth movements...maybe its time for me to purchase alot of these to replace my crappy rubber OEM parts...

How I am sitting right now.
