how much does a spring compress when hitting dips and bumps at full speed?
SubscribeWas curious to see how many inches a spring compress when you're driving on a freeway at around 75-80mph and you hit a dip? I have my front dampers et to full stiff on my stance gr+ but ocassionaly when hitting certain dips it still rubs. Is this normal?
I just hope the spring doesn't compress too much where the lip will contact the metal fender and damage it. That's the main concern I have.

It depends on different variables.
Vehicle weight (passengers, load, etc). What springs and shocks, How big of a dip.....yadda yadda yadda.

k, he's right, there are too many variables.
Although, judging from your recent posts i'm thinking your car may just be too low at this point (all else being OEM). I know you'll hate me for suggesting, but try to bring the fronts up even by just half an inch and see how it goes.
Do you know what spring rates are on your Stance? It might help to go stiffer, too.

at the drop you have rubbing WILL occur and will KEEP occuring either live with it or go higher but either way stop making a thread for every single concerned thought you have
best common sense way to check if anything happened is to.. hmm lets think
check the tires for rubbing damage.. and check the wheel lip for damage, if none then proceed if any then fix it
but i guarantee you there will be at least one dip you hit when your not paying attention or w.e. (dunno what speed you drive at now) and you will rub quite nasty and most likely will rub on the wheel lip.. it will happen at one point.. so either put more camber and fender work OR drive slower.. for some ODD reason i find that when driving slower i rub less.. i dunno must be some kind of wizard magic or something

^totally agree. You chose to lower your car that much and now you rub, same thing happens to me. You either decide to live with it or raise your car/camber more. If your fender/rim/tires aren't getting hurt too much then you are probably fine.
