BC Racing BR series coilover question

BC Racing BR series coilover question
I have an 04 6mt sedan with BC Racing BR series coilovers on it. The rear spring perch is maxed out and it barely clears a 255-45-17 wheel and tire. The adjustable strut is adjusted half way up. I run the 210mm rear spring that comes in the kit not sure of spring rate. The ride height is more than fine with me its the ride quality im concerned with. It is very harsh in the rear. Im wondering if it is because the strut needs adjusted higher? Or could I need the 230mm spring BC offers? Could the spring perch being maxed out make the ride harsh? Im hoping I just need to adjust the strut higher but would like some insight before I go lay on the ground and mess with it.....its cold outside here in Pittsburgh.
Thanks again guys

I have the same coils and my ride quality is pretty normal...Have you played around with the dampening at all? If you have it set at full hard, you will feel the road more and some ppl actually like that because it makes them more in tune with the car and the roads. Maybe try adding some soft adjustments in the rear?

I've messed with dampening from 5 clicks of hard to 5 clicks from soft. Can you tell me how yours are set up. What dampening setting what length rear spring 210mm or 230mm? And where do you have the springs themselves adjusted to along with the adjustment on the strut? It feels like either the stroke of the shock isn't set long enough or having the spring maxed out is making it ride rough. So back to the point....your setup please and thank you.

After installation, my cousin(my mechanic) had the dampener settings set at full hard because of how low I was compared to how bad most of the roads are here in Connecticut and my kurookie bumper also makes the front a little lower as well.
I also just lowered the rear a little more to make it even with the fronts, and I adjusted the dampeners now at about 15 from hard front and back.

As for adjustments on the perch and the strut, I AM A NOOBIE! LOL my cousin does it all for me. I just tell him what height I would like it.
But here's pics before we added the spring spacer:
We added the spring spacer because we needed more clearance when we maxed out the height adjustment.
Hope this helps!

I don't get this talk about 17-20", your outside diameter should be the same regardless of rim size!!! It's the TIRE SIZE that matters here.
Your 20" rims and his 17" rims should be identical in outside diameter (overall height)
And does anyone have the ACTUAL range for these coilover height? (MIN-MAX)
BC themselves refused to give me a proper answer, wtf!?!

That's what I continue to post tire size not wheel size...the 255 45 is what matters for the most part......bc wouldn't give me a range either.....unless you have monstre truck tires on your 20s they should be near identical to the outside of my 17 inch tires......anyways as far as the install yes I've done it according to bcs instructions.......I've looked my setup over and over and compared to the setup others.......bc also told me over the phone to use my stock bump stops.....removed them today and the ride is completely different......apparantly running them is a bad idea.....im still going to order the 230mm springs and toy with the preload some more and eventually have the car corner balanced but for now it is good enough.
