Compression Rod Parts - Need Help

I have an 04 sedan. I just had my car in the shop the other day and it looks like the bushings are shot, but I am going to replace the whole compression rod and I need help figuring out what to order.

I've been reading through threads trying to piece it all together. I'm planning on ordering the compression rods from Riverside Infiniti.. but I thought I saw in one thread that there is an additional part you need to remove from the old compression rod (which is difficult to remove) or you could also order this piece new. I am trying to find this again.

Then lastly, which is the best bushing to use and where is a good place to order them? It seems there is the Energy Suspension bushing or SPL, but I haven't found any long term results or if there is a better option?

is your vehicle 2WD or AWD?

2WD - Compression Rods - 486.00 for the set
2WD ONLY - Compression Rod Bushing's $40.00 for the set

AWD - Compression Rods - $358.00 for the set
AWD not available for compression rod bushings only

Ok well after digging through pages of threads, it seems the other part is some bolt stopper part #40173-33P00.

Forum doesn't seem very active anymore and I couldn't really find any long term results with the various bushings except the solid SPL bushings sound like they are the worst over time. I know the OEM bushings are revised, but I don't know how well they hold up or how they compare to the ES bushings. Thought I could find more thorough information for a common failure in our cars.

The urethane bushings get noisy in the compression rods after a bit, especially in cold weather, according to many folks who have reported on this forum. And, as you've seen, the SPL's make noise too. The revised OEM bushings seem to be a bit better (I've got 3 years and 14k on mine and they still seem pretty good) but I don't think they are dramatically improved. That being said, OEM is still probably the best option for NVH on a daily driver.

Thanks for this response. Do you know, are the Whiteline bushings basically the same as the ES ones? I think for now I am going to save some money and throw in the new compression rods with the OEM bushings and if they fail on me after a while I will try one of the polyurethane brands.
