I'm sure you've seen my posting regarding my situation with Peninsula Infiniti located here in Redwood City, CA. My 2004.5 ip cpe only has 24,000miles on it. When I brought the car in I told them I didn't want to drive the car home until after they inspected it. Last monday, as I was driving home, radio off windows down...i hear metal scraping...It sounded like a piece of metal was dragging on the floor....I didn't schedule an appoitment and they were all out of loaners...they were kind enough to put me in an rental from Enterprise car for the day...that's fine.
When I got the call, my rep Bob Anderson, told me bad news....your rotors are at 5.2 and estimated cost of $1,300.00 - $1,500.00 just for the "REARS".
I have never had to pay more than several hundered on any of my old acuras or hondas. They told me that it's not covered because it's "wear and tear". I'm like ok fine...The call back and they were able to "SAVE" the rotors but recommends changing them immeidately. I told them to just change the pads for now fix my broken cup holder (warranty) and hazard button (non-warranty) shop installing my ipod adapter didn't plug it back in so that was electrical $70.00.
This post is basically for all BREMBO OWNERS who have had this encounter with any other INIFNITI DEALERS. I am so UPSET that I don't plan on ever bringing my car back to any INFINITI dealer unless it's a warranty re-call!
If you've been in my situation were you able to have INFINITI cover the rotors or did you just pay for it and let it be?
I've already sent INFINITI customer service a complaint.

You coulda bought aftermarket rotors like from Stoptech or Stillen and it would have come out cheaper and better. Stoptech 1 piece rears are like $250 each. Brakepros slotted rears are like $450 for a pair. And if you do the work yourself, it's even that much cheaper. Rotors are not hard to replace.
