Have not had a chance to do "The faster before or after test" as it is still too wet on my test areas. The car feels tighter. I hope its no the old "I got it so it does something....right..yes of course it does"

Cato, I am calling my Mechanic Every Friday to see if he can do it on Saturday. I have no way of getting it in during the week until the T-reg is fixed IN ANOTHER FRIKKIN MONTH!!! VW parts supply's are limited if anyone was wondering....

Hopfully Saturday - this should take all of 20 minutes right?

I have not heard one good response from VW owners about their vehicles.
Glad I don't have a VW!

The Touareg is great - just don't wreck it to the tune of having new frame rails welded on ($22k in damage). Even after having a lemmony passat - I actually got all my money back - I went back to VW. Porsche is within that truck there is no doubt. I think that 5,000 pound sled handles as well as my G thanks to AWD and 275 tires.

I would not reccommend ownership outside the warranty, however. The reason the cars are so desirable are all the ambient lighting and electrical gadgets in every corner and those things all break. THe motor that pulls the rear gate shut costs $900 alone.

So, how is the handling, with the bar installed, compare to BMW 3-series?

The 3-series still feels tighter but I can definitely say that the body does not jitter as much as it used to. I drive the downtown Tampa roads everyday (really bumpy) and it was a night and day difference. The suspension and tires are more efficient because they are forced to absorb more of the roughness instead of the body flexing. The body does still flex but no where near as much as it did (some of my in cabin squeaks even went away). Turn in has definitely improved and the car is more willing to accept mid corner corrections. Perhaps the 2005s and up feel different. I admit that I was a bit skeptical before installing but I'm definitely glad that I did it. My car is a 2004 sedan with the sport package.

Thanks for the input, Vegas79. I live in Downtown LA, and the roads around downtown simply sucks... I have a 05 with sport and prem. package. I guess I will order a set of these once more review of sport pack + bars is available!

So SixFive reports that the rear lateral bar does not fit the sedan with the coupe mid-pipe. GTSPEC says the rear lateral bar does indeed fit the sedan with the sedan mid-pipe, but will not fit the coupe.

Summers are on, and I can definitely feel that the tie bars are reducing the body roll!!!

Yet, I want to go for the lateral tie bar....

My install involved a little heating and reshaping part of the coupe mid pipe where iit bangs into the lower lateral brace. It helps the pipe not rest on the brace but certain situations and bumps really create a nice cheap banging sound that sounds like my fathers old Plymoth Fury when the exhaust pipe hangers rotted and rusted.
