What a great way to start a Friday morning.

My 20's kissed the curb this morning as I was making a U-Turn to avoid construction.

I had a few things on my mind, and I really shouldn't "think & drive" sometimes.

My heart basically broke when I heard the metal on concrete noise my rims made as it rubbed the curb.

The result? My front-passenger-side rim is scuffed all across the chrome lip, almost half way around the rim. I can't get this out of my head.

Anyone know a good rim repair shop?

I hear there good they will come pick up your rim from your house. Turn around is about 1 week

 

I just called them. No one can fix CHROME!!!!!!

I seriously have a tear rolling down my eye right now. It's gonna be over $125, which is fine ... but I'm gonna lose all chrome in the area where my scuff is.

It's my BIRTHDAY on Sunday as well ... I truely am heart broken right now.

Heard this place is the best compared to Carcone and some other places BUT the turn around is definately NOT 1 week, they've been pretty busy I dropped off my rims 3 weeks ago and they JUST started working on it yesterday..........

However I left it with them since I heard they were good........

 

It's gonna cost me $300 to replace the rim ... should I do it?

Hopefully I'll get a "Red Pocket" or two for my birthday ... haha
I can't afford an extra rim right now.

if it's just the chrome, why not just have it replated?

 

$300 for 1 rim? thats not bad for 20's wow......

To fix my volks which had a severed lip problem was $280..... just to fix....

I'd say wait till you REALLY have to replace it..... no point getting a brand new one just cause of scuffs....

 

Its on the passengers side. Live with it for a while.

Where is Hollywood Wheels?

 

For $300 get a new rim and buy a back up , that is cheaper than most companies rechrome as it costs lots of time to remove the old chrome to replate.

 

Thats what I heard as well... chroming or rechroming things are pricey..might as well get a fresh one to be honest.
