no, not for your engine. just get the plenum spacer.

you might want to wait on tuning until you've done a little more with car.

wrong...

as long as you get a tune afterwards, the MREV2 + Spacer has been proven to be a great addition to any year G35 versus just installing a spacer.

Actually here is the correct answer:

The '03 & '04 sedan is officially rated at 260 hp and 260 ft. lbs torque. The coupes are rated at 280 hp and 270 ft. lbs torque. However it's well accepted the sedans are under rated and have the same engine as the coupe. I believe there have been many dynos proving this. The sedan is also slightly lighter by 50 lbs (depends on model/options).

I'll let others debate the Mrev2. I have the 5/16 iso thermal spacer with the copper TB spacer which seem to work fine. Bolt on mods to the VQ give very marginal gains.

Bill, have not seen you on the board for a while. We should get together once this bloody snow disappears.

That was excellent info posted by RBull above.

hey wayne, i have been lerking around for the last couple months on here keeping quite haha. now i am trying to figure out what is best more me with plenum spacers or the mrev2 manifold. ya we should meet up some time for coffee or dinner some time.

so is it worth getting the mrev2 for a non revup motor or is a 5/16" spacer just as good.... i am sure thats been asked before but what do u guys think about it.

I had the complete Motordyne package on my '04
- started with the spacer
- added copper iso thermal
- then the Mrev2 manifold

They were all beneficial & noticeable, but not to the point were you say OMG

The spacer def gave a little more punch.
The iso-thermal helped minimize heat soak for cooler air.
The Mrev2 helps to balance the breathing on the front pair of ports,
the OE is definitely restricted in that area.

Unless things have changed, the Mrev2 actually worked better on a non-revup motor.

Hey Bill,

I didn't think that COBB had the Access Port out for early sedans?

I just checked out their website and didn't see any updates regarding this. It said that the current port did not support '03 and early '04 sedans....

If you only want one or the other, then get the spacer. But both will provide a benefit, especially with a good tune.
