It has been discussed here before. Definitely a good idea if you are keeping the car for a long time.
I just ran a search.

I'll assume you are from Ontario because everyone in Alberta I mention oil spraying to looks at me like i'm taking a dump in front of them.

I've been in alberta too long, but my brother drives 50k a year in Ottawa and oil sprays every other year. His 02 Altima doesnt have a spot of rust on it and he washes his cars maybe once a month. It works.

Hey,
I am going to have mine done at Krown on friday, I am wondering if they take out rear tail lights on Gs. We had another car in our household done at Krown and they did take out rear tail lights the first time it was done. This year they said it's not necessary to do every year.

I had rust protection done today at Krown. The whole process took them about 12 minutes, including drilling holes. They took another 15 minutes to wash the car. 3 holes on each side, and apparently I already had 2 huge holes drilled in the trunk. It was hard to observe, but I think 12 minutes is way too fast. Any comments ?

Rust proofing doesn't take that long to do. 20 mins approx maybe more then one person doing it. Good to do if you driving it through winter!

I just had my GMC Rust Checked and it had been done before, so no holes to drill. I always tell them not to bother washing it. It still took 1/2 an hour to do it.
They must have had more than one guy doing yours to drill and oil.

Yeah, there were 2 guys doing it.
I was kind of surprised how huge the holes are on the sides of my trunk. As far as I know the car wasn't rust proofed before, so I am wondering if these holes were drilled at the factory. (they are covered) Apparently they used those holes to spray in the trunk area but it seems like they didn't apply that white anti-rust gel on the trunk, but they did on the holes that they drilled on the doors, etc. Perhaps I should find something at crappy tire and apply it myself.
