Thumbs down ZAINO Z8 - Tried it

Well first off, I'm a big time Zaino user....
& I love the Z-6 quick detailer

So bias is not an issue when I say save your money with Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal.

There may be varied results for different colors, but for my car, (silverstone, aka DG)
the Z8 was not distictively better than Z-6 Gloss Enhancer spray (quick detailer)
Also, I have about 6 coats of Zaino Z-2 on the car.

I'm not saying that Z-8 is not a good product, it's just that Z-6 is already a GREAT product.
Sooo there is really not much room for improvement.

If anything there may be slightly more depth to the Z-8...
but pretty insignificant.

In short, at twice the price of Z-6.....
buying not Z-8, I'll be again.

You said it right there yourself. Even on Zaino's web site they state that its not for everyone. It's only for car shows. It's there for people who want to get that slightly more depth. Have you noticed anything regarding dust buildup? Supposedly its supposed to be better at it than z6.

I'll follow up with that later...

I just put it on last night.
I did one half with Z-6 & the other Z-8.
So i should get a good comparison.

Thanks for the post. I'm really interested in getting Z8 but now I'm having second thoughts. Keep us posted.

I tried it also, but didn't notice much of a difference. Both products shine nicely.

I have a black car, and love it! Its great, and what you will notice is that it retracts dust/dirt and beads water like no other. I can just wash off my car, and its clean again (water spots a little)

While it might not do all that much more for shine(on lighter colors), depth, it does even better for up keep!

Well I just got my Z8 today and I am planing on using it after I have done the 2 Z5 and 1 Z2 layers with Z6 between each layer. I am curious to know how much more, if at all, does Z8 repel dust than Z6. I wont be spraying half z6 and half z8 as this will be the 1st time I wash so I want everything eaven.

inTgr8r - how exactly did you do the half and half spraying? I mean, did you wash, dry, put one layer of zaino, and then half half? or did you wash, dry, half-z6 half-z8, polish, half-z6 half-z8?
