Fender rolling

Does anyone know where I can go to get my rear fenders rolled? Guess da damn G got used to rollin on slick 275's that now using 285's are rubbbin like a bicchh..guess the sidewalls on the Invo's is thicker than Toyo's cause the T1R's never gave me any issues. :-(

Or if anyone knows and can do it, let me know; wouldn't mind helping to actually do this but don't wanna jack up the paint.

well after discussing it with several people I've gotten the wrong fitment...I should be using 285/30 and not 285/35..the rims just dont look right and any lil bump all goes to hell whereas no probs with the 285/30's prev used...gonna talk to Don and hopefully he can swap me out for the 30's instead...

My friend Jeff has a fender roller if you want to rent it from him. If I'm not mistaken you're stock height too?

Question about service for u DFW guys

So I bought my rear tires and went from 285/30 19 (T1r's) to 285/35 at the recommendation of the seller (sponsor on here)...so they are really rubbing bad and the only reason I went to such size was because I was told by the seller that otherwise the speedo is off. Would I have known that rubbing was going to be an issue (as well as the car feeling too bouncy w/ the 35 series).

Anyhow, I've contacted the seller and I'm being told...sorry, can't do anything for you...I was even willing to pay some extra for the miles I put on these tires even though I would have to pay for remounting/balancing AGAIN.

Anyone think this is fair...because I was given innacurate information I now am STUCK with these tires and have to roll my fenders as well. I'm trying to square this away with him so thus why I'm not mentioning names, etc. but I would think a person would stand behind services/products he sells. I don't think I'm being a ***** about it, am I?

I don't see how you were misrepresented with the facts that you laid out. You chose that size so the speedometer wouldn't be too off.

As far as the rubbing, that really is something outside of the tire vendors control b/c wheel offsets and widths can vary greatly.

As far as returns, you would have to consult their return policy. I know pretty much all WHEEL companies will not accept a wheel that has been mounted. I am not 100% sure on tires. Check the major tire vendors and see what their policy is on tire returns to see if this vendor has something in line with that.

JD,

Thanks for leaving my name out and I do understand your frustration. However, I do not believe I am in the wrong because I can't exactly send the (used) tires back to the manufacturer. There is nothing wrong with the tires itself. Here is what I stated in the email:

I even gave you the option of picking up the 275/30 in case you wanted those any way. You decided that you wanted to pick up the 285/35 instead. I don't see how I gave you inaccurate information. I asked you to look for yourself:

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

245/45-18 is your OEM rear size
285/35-19: Diameter Difference: 0.64%
285/30-19: Diameter Difference: 3.57%
275/35-19: Diameter Difference: 0.42%
275/30-19: Diameter Difference: 4.47%

I did offer to give you the 285/30 at my cost (even though they aren't the correct size). I am not making a killing off these tires. I am just trying to help out the local DFW G35 enthusiasts. I have been doing this for a long time now, and have had plenty local members buy 275/35 and 285/35 from me without a problem. I will always stand by my products that I sell. However, this isn't an issue with a defective tire. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to give me a call. Thanks.

Don

Let me know what fender rolling options you decide to go with; I'll probably do this as well when I go home in June when I add a small spacer in the back.

Hopefully this isn't terribly off topic, but if I wanted to run a 285 width, would 30 or 35 be the best choice for 10.5's?

I'm running 285/30 on a 20x11 +15 offset. My fenders are rolled though. Honestly everyone should just roll them to not worry about potential problems.

If you need fender rolling in the Arlington area... I sold the owner my fender rolling tool a couple of months ago, they put it to use a lot more than I ever did

I'm not exactly sure of what they charge, but they know what they're doing.
