Post up your 1/4 mile times

I do find it interesting that the "260hp" 03 actually went faster threw the 1/4 mile suggesting that it's actually making more power than the 298hp motor. I still think it's a wash between the 03/04 and 05, though.
Dave, I agree 100%...unless of course we start seeing guys/girls on here posting 13.8-14.0 at 100-102 mph with nothing more than a CAI at the track over the next few months.
I got 2 runs in...14.8 and a 14.72 with 2.3 60ft and 900 miles on the odo. I have 2k miles now and it already feels like my car is faster. With a lower 60ft and more experience im sure I can run low 14's here in orlando.

Here's the slip (car #292) from my 2nd run ever in my 03 G35 sedan auto with the Z pipe. The only thing I removed was the spare. I did have my air compressor and baby seat on board so that probably whips out any advantage from removing the spare
My car is a fully optioned 03. The track is at 1100' above sea level and calculated density altitube was 1850' (30.20 baro, 70 degrees, 39 degree dew point). This car is much quicker than I initially thought. I was praying for 14.7s@95mph. I'm certain this car could go 14.2-14.3@98+ in cooler weather.

Good times dave. Try it with the spare next time. My car did its best time with the spare tire. Adding more weight to the rear tires helps sometimes.

How many miles on your rig? Did you gut the car?
FYI...if you ran those times with that good of a 60' time with 19'' rims you could run about 13.7-12.8 just by switching to 16'' or 17"' rims.
If this is what we're going to see from 05 6 spds than they definitely have more power I think.
I have about 6200 miles on it. No I did not gut the car. My car is fully loaded had spare and all. Like I said it had a little over 3/4 of a tank in it as well. I lowered my tire pressure to 30.5psi and launched around 2000-2300 rpm. I have multiple slips in the 14.0-14.2 range as proof if anyone thinks this is BS. There were also several Z's there both nights I went, so I have witnesses.

No one is calling you a liar or calling BS. In fact I am the only one who replied to you if you remember. Anyway, that's great news...and if we continue to see those kind of times with the 05s they will definitely be worthy of the increased HP rating b/c your times are great for no mods, etc...Like I said take the Bling Bling rims off and watch your times magically drop into the 13s.
