dammit, i guess someone put in an order for their standard cf 1pc shaft w/steel ends for an 04 6MT over the holidays and is paying full price, $1195 and he even said that they actually cost slight more to manufacture but he stuck to $1195 because that's what he quoted me originally. kinda takes away from us trying to get a deal when he's selling them at full price so easily. he did say he'd knock $100 off for a 5 man group buy though. i responded that we where hoping for something closer to $850. if the all aluminum ones are closer to 15lbs than 18lbs, then i think that's pretty fair, if the all aluminum one's are closer to 18lbs then it's a deal. honestly i think $1095 is still a pretty fair price but i would think a group buy price should be lower. hoping he replies back with a price under 1k, even 900-950 would be nice. let me know if you guys are still interested. i'll start a list to keep track...

okay, so he just got back to me and he's gonna have to stick to the $1195 or $1095 5-man GB prices due to the high cost to manufacture the units. he did say that if we wanted to do a 5-man GB on 1pc aluminum shafts he would make them for $425(or $450.19 w/CA sales tax). he said they'd be slightly lighter than the cf units but he doesn't normally do them due to limited tq capacity w/high hp applications. lemme know what you guys are thinking

i don't think he's gonna develop the cf w/aluminum ended one anymore. he said that the steel ends where the best/strongest combination after some consideration.

The alum is an awesome deal, but as I understand vibration might be more of an issue with an alum one vs a cf one. I for one just can't deal with vibration in a car...drives me up the wall.
