^Most go with the 3.5 VLSD, not sure how the car will react with a 3.7 or higher.

Its the same diff thats on the G37. Some are 3.7, refer to the Factory Service Manual of a particular model for specific details.

How can one be sure they truly have a 3.5 or 3.7 with vlsd? It would seem really easy to rip someone off. Selling there 3.3 as a 3.7 and so on

Differentiating between an open or VSLD is easy if the diff is detached from the car. Simply hold one of the half-axles so it doesn't move and turn the flange. If only one of the axles move then its open, if both turn then its a VLSD. The gearing is harder to figure out. If you know exactly which car the diff came off of, then use the FSM's.

good site to find diff's

What's up everyone! I'm about to do this mod myself from my stock 03 sedan open diff to a 08 3.7 FD VLSD. I just found this site today and I'm getting the whole "carrier assembly" for $450 with free shipping http://www.partshotlines.com/

This site was awesome because they show real time parts available. No need to wait for someone to search and send you an email. Wish me luck with my switch

Would I need the axles if I get a 3.7 vlsd?

It's direct bolt on. And you won't loose your cruise control or any problems I just did my swap last week

be careful not to pull a pumpkin off of a 7AT, those are 3.3 diffs.
