Just a thought, (which im not sure is possible or not) but has anyone thought of wiring up the gear position display up to the 6MT that way those that use the 5at gauge cluster can have the display telling them what gear theyre in. If possible id like to do this my self i think it would be pretty pimp for that to work so you dont just have a blank screen there.

The only problem is there is not switch in the 6mt that tells what gear it is in. So you would have to make a switch.

Yea ive thought about that but i think it would be just easier to wire the reverse and neutral position switch and i can just turn off the codes that it will throw with my osiris.

so ive finished the 6mt swap everything is put back together and wired up using the first method. I ran into in issue of the car not wanting to start. What did u do to the TCM to not make it show a U1001 code or did u do anything to the TCM!? My starter wont even click over so in suspecting that it maybe that...idk!!!

Did you have the key reprogrammed to the new ECM? I had the biggest trouble with mine until I got the 6mt ECM and harness for my same year..after I did that had the key reprogrammed by a locksmith and viola started first try and has been running since.

It sounds like your having a issue with the nats system being enabled..if you swapped out the ECM you will need to have the key reprogrammed with the bcm and ECM

I jiggled with mine for a month or so with my old auto harness and a 350z 6mt ECM and I always had to do a released pedal relearn...but that was after getting the key originally programmed to that ECM.

Have you tried starting the car with both ecm's? If so that might've done it too and might need a reprogram.

When you have the key in the "on" position does the red light on the dash stay lit up solid?

I got it to work...i didn't have a good connection cause I was using those blue clips that u can splice wires together. I removed some sheathing off of the wires and wrapped the others around them making a solid connection....started right up after that!!!
