I'm looking for that thread you said, couldn't find it, but in your posts I did come across this gem of a thread (nsfw): https://g35driver.com/forums/lounge-...eans-nsfw.html

Needless to say I've been distracted for a bit...

Hmmm here's the thread I was referring to:

https://g35driver.com/forums/drivetr...t-awd-rwd.html

I am having no luck finding a 1 piece drive shaft, if anybody has one pm me before I go spending $600 for a steel one!!

As for the AWD mount, I have it in solidworks... With toolpaths written to produce. Let me know if you want one for your X in solid aluminum with a SS collar insert for longevity; I have enough stock to make one. Will post pics of my RWD one when finished.

If you don't have a hr engine you're all set. How much are you paying for the tranny?

Not being a d!ck but I figured it out from the photos on this thread and the info provided. I printed the photos for reference. Verified it will start by checking for 12v at the starter wire with a DMM.

Context:
G35 Sedan A/T 2003 with parts from Coupe M/T 2003 [ Engine + Transmission + Computer (driver side under the steering) + Computer (passager side over his feet)]

-------

Just connected #26 to #43 according to this document and it works :-D

So I jumped inside the IPDM box the wire #43 to the empty #26 (because IPDM from the A/T car)

I have some electronic issue, this is a pain to solve.

The car won't start but here is all the steps I did:
- Clutch bypass
- Verify fuel pump by grouding ipdm wire #20
- Verify fuses which handle engine by installing news/switch with good ones (all fuses in engine bay - I don't know if there any others which may cause my problem [like -> not powering the cpu ??])
- Verify relays by inverting them with those from my 350z which still works with those from the g35.

Symptoms:
- OBD2 reader can't connect to the car to diagnose (but this scanner works great on my 350z so it's not defective)
- Fuel pump wont start without manually grounding IPDM wire #20

I guess the computer don't tell the coils to fire because with the #20 grounded manually, the car still won't fire. The starter push, the engine turn but no explosion... I wonder if any of you guys who did the swap had this issue...

I am using a coupe MT 2003 engine + engine harness + 2x computers into my 2003 sedan AT chassis

===
EDIT:

I wen't to infinity to pay 750$ CAD and learn that the Coupe MT6 engine harness won't match the Sedan 5AT body harness.
Going back to my 5AT engine harness...

Dude, wtf are you even talking about. Anybody else with me on that one?

Why did you swap computers, you don't need to do that.

Computer on Passager side is different connector (so I had to use the MT one to plug the MT engine harness inside the car)
Computer on driver side :both seem identical (I guess they are tuned differently) but I tryed with both...

Maybe its because I am going from Sedan to Coupe engine while going from AT to MT ...

Din't you had to do this? Which conversion was your?

first of all, why do you have 2 ecu's? these cars only use 1. I dont even know how you wired in a 2nd ecu... also, it probably wont start because when you change the ecu you need to reprogram the security system so the chip in the key and ECU are matching, or have it bypassed in uprev by an authorized tuner...

I may use the wrong name... there is one kind of computer under the steering, and there is one under the airbag in front of the passenger... When i purchased my engine, the guy did provide me with both, so I installed both from the MT car inside my AT car....

In the case that I have to reprogram it, it's normal that my starter works?

Thanks your help is very appreciated

The guy at Inifnity Stealership told me that I have an electric issue, because when key are not programmed, I should still be able to connect to the computer via the ODB reader...

DO NOT TRY TO MATCH 2 doors 6MT engine harness with 4 doors car as the plugs will match but the wire wont match... The computer wont power itself so the car wont ever get the OK to start.

Because 03 sedan automatic don't have the same engine harness than 03 coupe manual.

While doing the conversion, I'm replacing engine which was blown.
