DIY: 5AT to 6MT SWAP.
Context:
G35 Sedan A/T 2003 with parts from Coupe M/T 2003 [ Engine + Transmission + Computer (driver side under the steering) + Computer (passager side over his feet)]
-------
Just connected #26 to #43 according to this document and it works :-D
So I jumped inside the IPDM box the wire #43 to the empty #26 (because IPDM from the A/T car)

[QUOTE=cotten;7180004]Did anyone here reference the e brake relocation? Just seeing if i missed something. Does it just simply bolt in?[/QUOTE
its not a straight bolt in, but I used the center console to get an idea of where it lined up at, and was able to reference one hole pre drilled for something else, then I drilled another hole and used to bolt and nut. Mine reached fine. I had to all but unbolt everything involving the cables, and would’ve been easier to drop the driveshaft, because it’s tight under there and I had to spray the hell out of the cable heads to get them loosened and freed from their position in the clasp, but I got the old one removed and the new ebrake handle and clasp installed and everything bolted up fine. My ebrake is a little off, but it still tightens just fine and looks okay inside. I made a YouTube video of it if you’re interested in that, just reply or send me a message and I’ll give you the link

hello, I'm new here i made this swap at a garage but he didn't flash my ecu the car runs but its kinda got weak so i wanna buy the 6mt ecu since it's cheaper than a flash, my car is an 05 g35 and i was wondering if i should buy the 04 6mt ecu sincd the 05s 6mts came with revup and the auto didn't... and if i swaped the ecu will just be plug and play or should i change something in the wiring?

Sounds like you haven't flashed the ECM to 6MT yet and it's still configured as a 5AT ECM.
Flash
I was under the impression you didn’t need to flash the ecu. It just says you can use 5at ecu. Nothing says you need to get it reflashed. Guess I’ll send it to uprev. Thanks for the info
There's ways to do this without sending it to uprev, I strongly recommend reading a few threads on the 6MT swap.
It's probably cheaper just to buy a used eBay G35/350Z 6MT ECM (with the correct plug for your car, 3 total options across model years) rather than sending it to Uprev but if you do plan on tuning the vehicle later you should talk to @seymore4 he can probably shed some light on things better than I can.

You need to flash the ECU for the MT swap. You CAN get a matching 6MT ECU and install that instead, but then you have to get the keys programmed and if you're going to spend all that money, why not just spend a little more and get a tune as well.
You can't send the ECU to Uprev tho, they don't do this kind of stuff directly. I do tho
Shoot me a PM I can help you out

Help
So ive done this 6mt swap on my 04 g35 sedan, everything was fine for quite some time (approx 3 months) all of a sudden no throttle response. I have changed the gas pedal and the throttle position switch 3x trying to fic problem no fix found. Anybody have any alternatives to what this problem coild be. Do I need to switch to a manual 6mt ecu with harness maybe chrck my throttle body, get a full reset on my 5at ecu? Any recommendations please
If it worked for 3 months then suddenly stopped then just something that broke. Start with an OBD2 scan for hidden codes, you can realtime scan for both throttle input % as well as actual throttle position %.
You can also pull the intake, key to ON position, and work the gas pedal while you watch the throttle plate open/close. Non rev-up DE engines can do this. Rev up engines cannot.

so I completed my swap but this is the issue I’m running into. My security light blinks and I brought someone out to program the key but they couldn’t program it. Key turns but fob key fob could not get programmed. I don’t know what to do at this point. Car cranks but no spark and all wiring is done.
Hello
I am looking for help with swap, I’m from St. Louis mo
