Mobil 1 Oil users

I've read a few oil threads on here and on BITOG, and without reading through this entire thread I figured I'd ask a question. I was out and about the other day and ran across a Mobil that I have never seen before. It's actually a fully synthetic 0W30 oil. The label is green/white and the cap is green. I'm not due for a change for another 2k but I went ahead and picked up 5qts of this. I have a track session the end of this month so I figured I'd go ahead and change before our event. I'll try to do a UOA before and after this to see what happens.

Mobile 1 is terrible.
Now that they are so mass produced They skimp out on alot of additives, no more zinc and lots of other goodies. And its sold at so many walmarts, sams clubs, and just about any other store u can think of that sells anything car related.
Mobil 1 is junk, castrol has always been good to me.
kendell I hear is good
In my car i use this now, http://www.bradpennracing.com/

Based on what BITOG members are saying and owner's of G35's, Mobil1 0w-40 is supposed to be pretty good for the G35's engine.
Also, Mobil1 0w-40 is factory fill for Mercedes Benz, Porsche, and Chevy's Corvette.

my car has a corvette ls6 motor and i would never put that junk in it. And niether would any vette owner that knows anything about oil...
Mobile pays the car manufacturer to put that MOBILE 1 sticker on the oil cap, and they give them free oil to put in the cars. Its all marketing and buisness.... that doesnt mean its the best oil, it just means mobil 1 had the best deal and sales pitch.....

Sorry, that just does not fly. Sure they may offer it at a great price or even free (not likely), but they (car manufacturers) would never allow an oil that did not meet or exceed engineering standards set forth by their engine designers and ASME, API, or SAE.
In a word, bull****

Although, that SOUNDS logical, please tell me to what benefit it would be for a manufacturer to allow an inferior oil to be used in their engines that would COST them money in warranty repairs?

But its definatly not the best oil for performance and engine life.
Inifiniti doesnt care about your warrenty, look at all the people that have major oil burning issues?
do a search on this forums , the z forums and the maxima forum... hundreds of people complain about it??
Its a major Pain in the *** to get them to dish out a new motor!!
And lets face alot of ppls warrenties are expired
On my 02 maxima they told me it is normal for the engine to consume oil, and i was adding 1.5qts every 1500 miles...
now thats Thats a bunch of B.S.

OK, you are really throwing out some BS now. Infiniti does care about the warranty. I had my engine replaced with very little issues (first time dealer had dealt with the issue). Try dealing with Ford, GM, Chrysler, or any other manufacturer regarding oil consumption in cars. Please give us some real data as to why Mobil is not good for performance or engine life.

Well if they care so much, why wouldnt they fix the oil buring issue (its been known about since the 3.5 came out in 2002) and do a recall and stand behind their product?
