Here is my install! I got an Husky brand Air compressor filter from Home Depot, along with Teflon tape, and the barbed fittings. I got 18 inch long 3/8” fuel injection hose and clamps from Advanced Auto parts

As you can see from the pics, I discovered an easy spot to set the filter in to keep it in place and from moving around. I have an 06 coupe, so I am not sure if the bracket is the same in other models.

The catch can slides right into this stock bracket and slides right out when you want to check or change it. You do have no be careful to keep the filter level so no oil makes its way into the tubes when sliding it in and out though.

To get this fitment of the catch can in my engine bay, I took off the stock hose, and swapped the ends ( so the end of the hose that was connected into the lower collector is now connected into the engine block, and the end that was connect to the engine block is now connected to the "in" port on the catch can )

I then cut a few inches off the fuel injection hose, so it was between 14-16", and ran that hose from the "out" port of the catch can to the lower collector.

That "valve" at the bottom of the filter leaks, you'll need to remove it with an Allen wrench and plug the hole (rubber stopper works great)

Just wondering if excessive oil is bieng passed through the home depot catch can could be eliminated by installing a second home depot catch can maybe??? i was thinking of purchasing another catch can and just extending the hose to add the secound catch can. Any Opinions. I kno it sounds funny but it can be preventing the excessive oil bieng passed through.

^Two cans plumbed in series can't hurt. If the hose from can to plenum is still oily inside, then the one can isn't doing the job well enough.

well guys i put my 2nd catch in last night, same as the first one a husky from home depot, i have put about 65 miles on it and the first one has a cm or so of oil in it. And there is traces of oil in the 2nd, I'm going to leave it on and watch it over the next week. Ill have to get the plugs though to stop up the bottoms.

I noticed On my single home depot setup that the hose going into the manifold had residue meaning that the excessive oil was bieng passed through. So maybe you can check if there is residue left with the two catch cans you have setup And let us knowwhat u find.
