You've been to GTM? Sweet. Hey, if you go anytime next week, take some pics of the TB one and post so I can see how its coming along.

Even then, the "other" parts came in sooner than expected, so I will get half a day to resist the urge to get a ticket before it gets dropped off at the body shop. The only thing I'm playing with at the moment is how to have the TS hood done. I dont want to leave it CF and painting it TB and leaving the vents CF is too obvious (but probably what will get done in the end). I'm considering following the outside lines of the vents with everything outside TB and leaving a larger center of CF but, eh, we'll see as I'm not a huge fan of CF but I dont mind it in tasteful accents and the hood will be the only thing.

I won't be going there anytime soon. I went there once to talk to sam and check things out. Nice big facility.

You should paint only the vents haha. Be the opposite of everyone else.

Being different is no excuse for being ugly .... unless you were born that way and atleast then you have an excuse (unless your rich and can afford a plastic surgeon).

hopefully, it comes out lookin sexy .... otherwise I'll have to burn it and all damning pictures and evidence.

So many problems! So many delays! I really hope they can get resolved so I can enjoy my car before winter arrives.

^^This is true, but it is how a shop resolves them that counts.

BTW, Sam and GTM have been very very helpful and responsive to my concerns (I wish I still lived in SoCal!). I still am very thankful to Sam who agreed to make me a custom kit that every other shop refused/was not interested in doing. He even made the kit better than the manufacturer made it! Sam and GTM have my respect and I'm very glad I purchased my setup from them.

It is the other shop that is doing the install/tune that I have some slight doubts about... but I'm waiting on the finished product before making any judgments.

Regardless, I know I'll be happy when I get the car back.

+1 -- indubidubly. On another note, I hate HKS and the 350z guys. I hate the 350z folks for being able to get the engine cover from HKS as its a nice looking piece and I hate HKS for not making a G35 version, although if they did, it'd probably be special order from Japan, bastards.

You're gonna be happy! HKS makes a dry carbon engine cover for G's equipped with the GT S/C, but it is a special order item from Japan

I think I may be able to find a better use for that cash.

Well, as of this morning, its on a lift, UR pulleys are coming off, 5/16" MD spacer is coming out, Blue Samco hoses are going in. Later this week, the intercooler and such will be back from being blacked out and the car is on schedule for being picked up on Saturday. I may still have to sneak by and take a peek before then because .... I really want to.

Still got body and paint but no worries there as there has been zero word about my rims coming in yet. Hope to have a pic or 3 tomorrow.

Is there a particular reason why you need to take out the spacer? I have one on right now too.

How much more did it cost to have the intercooler and pipes black? Are they being anodized or radiator painted or...??
