Quote: It is supposed to be 9psi, but as I said before, it could be the lack of back pressure due to my cats ... either way, my mechanic is gonna make me a smaller pulley for 9-9.5psi ....

Colin

Yes, it is the cats for sure. A roots blower needs lots of back pressure to make boost.

Colin - have you considered getting headers as well? I know you will loose boost but with a small pulley you might still get ~8psi and have plenty of flow. I bet you would make more power and it would be easier on your engine with less boost.

You can call Stillen and see if they will work with you. Sportcompactonly.com does rebate deals sometimes. EverythingG35.com has good prices.
I got mine about six weeks ago after talking to Stillen a few times. They ended up going down enough to beat everyone else. I paid $6k for the Intercooled Stage 2, CF Sedan Hood, Warranty, and Freight.

If you are patient enough, there are people from time to time that sell theirs on the forums for great deals.

What did you pay for shipping and the hood?
I did not get much of a discount on the blower but they took over 60% off the hood and a little off the blower to make it work for me.

Do any of you guys with the Stillen kit use a oil catch can? Most of the other FI guys say it is a good idea with the stock plenum. Stillen told me unless I race my car it is not needed. I drive my car hard so it is kind of like drag racing a lot of the time...

You don't need to modify the pump; it just doesnt sit in perfectly flush. That's why some people begin to modify but you don't need to. If your car has been running good w/ stage 2 or 3 for a couple of months; you should be good to go on a stage 4. Just make sure you are monitoring EGT or AF at the minimum (preferably af; egt; and oil pressure) so that you will know if there is any problem.
Quote: From what I have read you need to modify the fuel pump a little to get it to fit. Most of the other SC kits are making at least 8psi but for some reason I am still a little hesitant to go Stage 4.

I have the Zeitronix so I could do EGT, A/F and Boost. I know it would be good to get fuel pressure and oil pressure as well but how bad do I really need them?
I figure I could get a good idea of fuel pressure by the A/F. But is there another way to check oil pressure using the three above?

Think logically why it is not safe. Fuel is needed to keep the car running but also keep the car from running lean or the engine could go south. You want to make sure all the fuel is properly setup and not skimp in any area.
