All Stillen Supercharger Owners Report Here
Ok I got a 05 with A/T only 60k and a few moods like, injencold intec, evo 2 greedy exhaust and megan reacing race pipes. So I whit like to do a stillen sc stage 3 or 4 ,I dont know which to chosee and what other moods I have to do for each one, can you please help me. Sorry to bother you but Im a noob

If you want a supercharger go with the vortech...but there are many single turbo kits and twin setups out there you can run.....just do some research on my350z and you can get all your answers. If you are looking for good power check out either Boosted performance's kit or the Momentum kit's as they are both single turbo kit's.

Hello guys, I'm a new G35 owner and I started out with a bang I guess
Stillen Supercharged 5AT coupe for a steal. I've just completed reading this entire thread (all 38 pages of it from top to bottom!
) and it's time I jump in too.
Here's my info as it stands:
1. 2003
2. g35 coupe (Gray Ext / Black Int)
3. 5AT
4. Volk Racing "SF Winning" 19x10.5"
5. dont know hp
6. dont know torque.
7. no dyno yet
8. stage1
9. Injen CAI, DC Sports Headers, Stillen Fiberglass Hood, Tien coilovers
10. I estimate the SC was installed in 2006 around 70k miles. (still trying to track down that info)
So, with introductions out of the way I'm getting ready to tackle a belt/pulley squeal and need some input:
-----------
Today I brought my coupe by S&R Performance (in Tampa Florida) and the owner there helped me track down what's making the noise... or at least where exactly the noise is coming from. (could still be either the belt *or* the pulley at the location of the squeal). I know what path to go down now and that's the start.

When the Stillen supercharger is installed - you end up with an extra pulley on the Power-steering and Alternator accessory belt. The point of this new tiny pulley - as it was described to me - is to put more physical length of the belt it'self against the main accessory drive pulley (the one that gets extended outward by the new Stillen double wide parts) so when the boost torque from the supercharger is applied there is less chance of slippage due to the larger amount of surface space being pressed against the main pulley.
So - this brings me to a conundrum. I've bought the correct belts from Nissan for both accessory belt routes... but Nissan didn't design the belt to to loop around an extra pulley - or did they?
I cant seem to get a straight answer out of anyone - including STILLEN themselves if you can believe that. They only offer to sell two belts for their supercharger system for the G35. And neither of those belts are the accessory belt for power steering and alternator.
This leaves me wondering - a new belt of a longer length or the OEM belt stretched (ok, maybe not stretched, but somehow it still fits). I'm taking off everything tomorrow as early as I can in the day. So if anyone has info on this please do let me know tonight n___n

You are right they are different belts then the factory belts. You are kinda stuck using the stillen ps belt and the little s/c belt as they are made custom for stillen(i tried to find them aftermarket but had no luck).
I'll post a PIC of this soon, but I figured out what belt is the replacement for the power steering / alternator accessory belt used with a Stillen supercharger kit on the VQ - It's a "Gates Micro V AT 060500". You can buy it at NAPA and cost (me in Jan 2012) $32 after tax. This belt is longer than the stock accessory belt and accommodates the new idler pulley that's installed when you get the Stillen SC. (the little one that sits between the main accessory drive pulley and power steering)
So - With that in hand I dropped in for a noon to 6pm Sunday session. I pulled all four of my belts, cleaned them all with a light degreaser and water solution so that I could re-install the SC belts (which I don't have the new replacements in the mail yet) and have the other two as trunk backups for any long trip breakage that could occur.. I then used the same solution and a toothbrush to thoroughly clean every single pulley on the entire motor. That part took the longest overall as I wanted to be certain that I not only got rid of all the grease / belt dressing / dirt from the previous owner while also not leaving any residue from the degreaser on the pulleys for fear of that damaging the integrity of the belts themselves over time.
During this step i was able to carefully inspect the operation of each pulley's bearings and everything checked out but one tensioner pulley which was *near* perfect - but had a slight amount of resistance when spun in one direction and not the other. That was the A/C belt drive tensioner pulley and not the suspected one.
With that all out of the way, I replaced all the belts (snorkel on the SC it's self being the most difficult - but a thin shafted screwdriver made it possible - I might do a write up on that process alone now that I think of it) AND in the process got my drivers side PCV valve hose reconnected. That step also took me some time as it's wedged up under the SC's intake so G'DAMN tightly with no space to work I was nearly beaten before it fiiiiinaly pushed on.
Result? Light squeak when starting the car which disappears in about 2 minutes. This is likely from my belt tension not being quite tight enough - and from what I've read here and on other forums this is pretty standard for anyone not using a dedicated "Belt Tension Meter" tool. So from what I can tell it's not the pulley, and was in fact belt squeal. MAN I thought it sounds like a bearing noise - but I've been proven wrong.
In the process of all this, I bought a very nice lazy susan (with an integrated bendable neck flashlight, and adjustable head rest huzzah!) and a set of Rhino Ramps. Both VERY useful additions to my overall garage setup.
The following day I changed my oil and filter.
I took the car for it's first long drive last night and everything checked out - even if I was a bit retarded listening to every single little sound the whole drive LOL. But hey, that's normal with a new car. We're still getting to know each other
NEXT UP?
---OSIRIS SYSTEM w/ custom TUNE done @ S&R Performance here in Tampa - and a good Wide-band Air/Fuel metering install to replace the narrow band on there now that doesn't seem to work at all---
