Ive had this car for since January 2009. It came straight from the dealer, 0 miles, with the S/C kit. I am second owner, and i bought it with 7k miles on it. Im at 29k and ive had nooo problems so far, except at about 10k miles, my snorkel belt snapped. I was running the original 4 rib setup, and upgraded to 6 rib. No problems so far.
I am interested in upgrading to Stage 4. And ive read a lot of posts, and most people make tops 320. Im not a power junkie, nor plan to be. This car as it is now, satisfies my needs. But there are some things i want to correct.
For example. A few months ago, i rear ended someone, and dented my FMIC. It is still functional, but looks liek ****. Besides that, its really small and looks pathetic. I really want to upgrade the FMIC radiator. Will regular radiators (GReddy, AMS, etc) from Air-to-Air coolers work properly in a Air-to-Liquid system? Id ask stillen, but you guys know how that is lol
Second inquiry, i saw that there is yet another hood that fits with the Supercharger kit. Is this really true? id love to get a new hood. That hood would be sick nasty. Please let me know, as this would probably my next investment.
Next inquiry, i questioned Stillen about buying other mods, such as headers and cat deletes. They told me that buying headers would lower the boost of the supercharger, there for, reversing the effect of any upgrades. Is this true? I would love to get me some headers, and get rid of these cats!
Final inquiry, as i said before, i know this kit isnt a powerhouse, and i accept it. But what mods have others of you done and gotten at least some more engine stability? Im picking up A LOT of engine heat, and i wanna see what else i can do to better the longevity in the engine (except removing the kit). Any help would be awesome. I would search the thread, but theres 33 pages ><.

Well, can anyone point me in the direction of where to buy a larger air to liquid intercooler?
Also, does it matter if I lose boost? Isn't it better to have better airflow? Wouldnt it maintain power, and lower the pressure on th whole system?

I was looking at getting this intercooler.

Also I upgraded the electric water pump with one out of a shelby gt500. Look at the pics a couple pages back that I posted. Talking with a friend that drag races with a roots blower he tells me with headers and straight through exhaust you will get more top end hp and less bottom end torque cause the boost isnt building up right away. All the boost is flowing right out the back as fast as the supercharger can blow. You need the back pressure to build your boost to get the torque to run off the line but in the higher rpms the supercharger falls flat on its face. I guess that is right i am learning all about superchargers as this is my 1st supercharged car.

^ Vg30dett1990,
How did the upgrade to the water pump go? (ie, what did you experience with the supercharger after changing out the pump - a little more "pep" in the car?)
The upgrade to the intercooler from that link looks like it might be worth while, but $775 is steep. Looks like you would have to wire the fans. What would control when the fans come on - would they be running constantly?
Thanks Guys!

Gawd, I swear STILLEN chaps my @ss sometimes. They are NEVER consistent.
I talked to a Margaret Lo a few weeks back and inquired about the cost of the Stg4 kit and she said (in a written e-mail) that it was $650. I then called to order and a Kenny told me that was way off and it was $927. That's a whopping [$277] difference. That's no chump change!!!
I'm going to force STILLEN to "honor" the written cost quoted by Margaret. If anyone else is interested in getting the Stg4, I think we should all get Stillen to honor this price.
Let me know y'alls thoughts on this.
Thanks Guys!

The one i always talk to is Chuck or Dave. Chuck definately has the know how on the kit itself, and Dave is the sales rep i work with.
But yea, the offer for the kit for me has always been 900++.
Honor LOL

Im interested in removing my Stillen S/C guys. Problem is, the dealer was the one who installed this kit from day one, and i dont have all he parts they removed. I also dont have an uninstall guide for it. I emailled Stillen, and of course, they havent not responded. Is it possible for anyone to help me out? I need to know what exactly im missing and need to purchase.
I am also considering Vortech or Turbonetics. Just wanna see first what i can get for my S/C kit.

I had Forged Performance give me all the "main" parts taken off the car when the supercharger was installed. The parts are collecting dust in my basement, but I thought to keeping them was a good idea. If you want, you can nab these parts for cheap - I would be happy to get them to someone who really needs them.
Let me know what you think - maybe IM - if interested.
Thanks Guys!

Anyone still alive in here?
I have some new questions for the Stillen Supercharged family...
1.) Which of the coolant tubes is going into the blower that is the COOLED off water from the intercooler and which is the HOT coming out from the blower? I noticed I have one of the tubes sitting right on top of my radiator's coolant tube which is VERY hot to the touch. I'm afraid that it's heating up the water for the intercooler and adding to this heat soaking issue...
2.) Flame suit is on....What is in the intercooler, water, antifreeze coolant or a mix? I checked it yesterday and it looked slightly green'ish in color making me think the guys who installed it put in a mix of water/coolant-antifreeze....
3.) Do we ever need to ADD more water/coolant? I didn't notice a "LEVEL" line inside when I opened up the water pump...
Thanks Guys!

Ive had these questions for a long time. Never brought it up here because questions seem to go over shadowed a lot.
Your best bet would be to talk to Stillen (i hate saying that).

It should have a 50/50 mix with redline water wetter additive in it.You should not have to top it off ever but it dosent hurt to check it.Sorry i cant remember which one is the inlet or outlet.

(2) I use 15% coolant mix and Redline Water Wetter.
(3) Check like Supercharged says... but no need to add. If you are adding there is a leak somewhere.
**Don't forget to only use distilled water like your radiator**
(1) Hose on top of Reservoir can is HOT water coming in. Its a gravity system in the tank. So follow the top hose from tank back to supercharger top and that is your "hot coming out of supercharger".

1.)
I think I'll still need to shield the HOT water going into the reservoir from the radiator hose - b/c all it's doing is heating up the already hot inlet water even hotter - I'm sure that's not going to help when going to the intercooler and trying to cool down....
2.)
I'm not sure if Forged put in the Redline Water Wetter - I'll have to call and ask and doubt they would remember....would it hurt to put some in NOW that I've been running it for almost a year??
Thanks Guys!
