There’s always going to be some power to be had when you’re replacing a “generic” tune with a dyno tune specific to your car. It’d be worth it to at least switch to Osiris if not a better EMS like ProEFI Pro48.

Dang it, I've been wanting to do Stg 4 and most of y'all on this thread had convinced me to do it - but now, I'm back WORRIED it's going to take my "daily driver" and make it into a "trouble maker".....having issues with fuel pumps or my fuel injectors working 80% or higher duty cycle.....wtf????

Can y'all do this nut another favor...

All Stg 4 owners chime in and let me know something like this:

Pro's (things I've liked about going to Stg4):
A.)
B.)
C.)

Con's (things that suck about going to Stg4)(Issues you will face once you go to Stg 4):
A.)
B.)
C.)

etc, etc.

This would be so helpful!!

I guess my BIGGEST FEAR is to have the Stg 4 kit installed and then have issues with the car not wanting to crank or die on me or whatever when I need to get to work etc...

I'll be using the car to take my son to the sitter in the mornings here in September....but I also wanted to get the Stg 4 kit installed, but just too SCARED to pull the trigger now that y'all are going back and forth again about the Stg 4 kit etc etc...

Please help a freak of nature - to get over it and like nike - just do it!

P.s. If I do get '4' installed I was thinking of getting this to monitor (boost, vacuum, A/F, etc) etc. Let me know what you guys think:

Thanks Guys!

For the love of god, don't go F/I.

Firstly I would recommend against it for anyone as a daily driver, and even more so for anyone carrying kids around on a daily basis.

Not unless you've got a backup vehicle on hand at all times, and enough dough to swap the motor (~$4-5k est.) if you pop it.

Having a backup vehicle makes sense usually no matter what you drive or what you do, but as far as F.I goes, the stillen kit will give you great relief as a DD. I drive mine on far trips and short grocery runs and i havent seen or noticed a single problem... To each his own but the stillen kit is a pretty nice setup for a DD..

Randy he is allready FI and dude do not worry about going stage 4 as you will have no problems with it.In all reality stage 4 is the best option of all the stages cause the A/F ratio is optimized and the car will really respond well to that stage.....much better then any other stage....i loved it untill i got the twins and felt the real power.

Yeah, I keep hearing that TT is "real power" and I don't doubt that at all, but I don't have to cash to build out the bottom end of the engine and then put on the TT and tune. Already put in my $$$ into the Stg2 kit a long while back, but would like a little bit more "kick in the pants" - so I'll just shut up and go Stg 4 and then come back and let the rest wanting to do the same know how my experience goes.

I guess since I got Stg 2 installed last November, I can give a little .02 on that stage. I haven't (knock on wood x3!!!) had a single issue and the car runs extremely smooth. I've taken the car (like skooler) on long road trips, to and from work and on a DVD/Grocery run to Kroger and Blockbuster and it runs like a dream.

I'll see if I can make the Stg 4 jump this fall (probably late fall).

I'll report back my findings between the two stages then.

Thanks Guys!
