Probably true in essence, but for those already on Stg 2 (like me) it sounds like a nice jump from Stg 2. I'll be honest, I wouldn't mind having a solid 320hp to the wheel that is "instant" accessable like the roots type supercharger that Stillen is. The one thing that I almost like the best (funny enough) is that when I'm in 6th gear, it doesn't hold me back any longer - I can literally punch it in 6th and the damn car takes off (not like a rocket mind you, but I can EASILY pass on the highway without ever putting my foot to clutch, and that's awesome to me. Of course ALL gears pull much harder and the power comes on extremely quick, but 5th and 6th for me are fun. Once already going "cruising", I feel like I can go from 45-120+ so freaking quick and that power feels awesome when behind the wheel).

I'm looking forward to Stg 4. Let's see if I can actually get it done.

Speaking of which here are some qood questions I've been thinking of:

1.) When I had Stg 2 installed, I noticed my exhaust tips become blackened with exhaust 'soot' much more quickly than when I was running the OEM N/A engine (non supercharged). Is this an indicator that I'm running rich?

2.) How much would you all estimate an install for Stg 4 would run? I've been utilizing "Forged Performance" in Marietta. How much have some of you guys paid to go from Stg 2 to Stg 4? Also do you guys think that someone like me (not exactly an tuner expert) could handle doing the upgrade from 2 to 4 on my own? I can't even figure out how I would change the blower belt and no one has written a DIY for it, even though a few of us have been begging for one.

Thanks Guys!

I would check the tension on the small s/c belt cause it has to be slipping.

Well we did more driving on it and I'm wondering if the actuator might be messed up.

When I give it WOT it's instantly 4psi, no higher no lower, which makes me wondering if I have the stage 4 pulley or a broken actuator.

How do you check the tension other than feeling it by hand - is that what you are referring to?

I can somewhat see how mine (and others) has a BOLT that pushes the belt to have "tension" on the nose of the blower and the pulley. Should we re-tighten those every once-n-a-while or every 10,000 miles or so?? Just curious.

SKOOLER - keep us updated, I sure hope you figure it all out.

Does anyone have any suggestions on my post? Cost of the Stg4 upgrade (labor) and which is most important to monitor (Boost or Air/Fuel Ratio)??

Thanks Guys!

9. stillen exaust, stillen cold air. z tube.
10. installed on car aug of 2005 at 8,000 miles now have 24,000 april 2006

I think exaust and cai helped so did z tube.

I havent dynoed yet because I don't really see the reason since stillen is what it is. probably 315 whp based on many runs against other cars.
I wish he was still around... I would have to ask how he got a 12.9 on a stage 3 when i get a 14.1 on a stage 4 lol...

No boost leaks and im running a max 4psi and its a gold pulley which stillen says is a stage 4...any ideas??

Looks BAD @SS BRO!!!!

Did you notice any improvement over the previous bumper you had (assuming it was most likely the OEM?). I just see that the intercooler will get hit hard with a nice flow of air....

Let us know....

Thanks Guys!

8. Stage 2 (have stage 3 pulley sitting in my room)
9. Stillen Tru Cat Exhaust

Ive had this car for since January 2009. It came straight from the dealer, 0 miles, with the S/C kit. I am second owner, and i bought it with 7k miles on it. Im at 29k and ive had nooo problems so far, except at about 10k miles, my snorkel belt snapped. I was running the original 4 rib setup, and upgraded to 6 rib. No problems so far.

I am interested in upgrading to Stage 4. And ive read a lot of posts, and most people make tops 320. Im not a power junkie, nor plan to be. This car as it is now, satisfies my needs. But there are some things i want to correct.

For example. A few months ago, i rear ended someone, and dented my FMIC. It is still functional, but looks liek ****. Besides that, its really small and looks pathetic. I really want to upgrade the FMIC radiator. Will regular radiators (GReddy, AMS, etc) from Air-to-Air coolers work properly in a Air-to-Liquid system? Id ask stillen, but you guys know how that is lol

Second inquiry, i saw that there is yet another hood that fits with the Supercharger kit. Is this really true? id love to get a new hood. That hood would be sick nasty. Please let me know, as this would probably my next investment.

Next inquiry, i questioned Stillen about buying other mods, such as headers and cat deletes. They told me that buying headers would lower the boost of the supercharger, there for, reversing the effect of any upgrades. Is this true? I would love to get me some headers, and get rid of these cats!

Final inquiry, as i said before, i know this kit isnt a powerhouse, and i accept it. But what mods have others of you done and gotten at least some more engine stability? Im picking up A LOT of engine heat, and i wanna see what else i can do to better the longevity in the engine (except removing the kit). Any help would be awesome. I would search the thread, but theres 33 pages ><.
