Installed my Stage 2 with help from a buddy, a couple weeks ago. Got a couple kinks to workout. Need to replace the tensioner pulley for the serpentine belt b/c I think the bearings are shot. It doesn't spin smoothly...looks out of balance. Also need to replace the 4 rib belt that comes off the snout of the blower. Oh, and get the damn gauges installed too. I've also made the decision to go Stage 4 by Spring!

Yes, welcome. You need to get it dyno'd and report the numbers ASAP as described in post #1. Have fun and be careful.

As far as the bike goes... Yes it's 20+ years old, but still has an excellent power to weight ratio. I bet that bike runs low to mid 12's in the 1/4. Bikes just get out of the hole so damn fast. My dad has a built Harley that runs 12.60's at 103 mph. My last car ran 12.90's at 110 mph. He would blow me away from a stop, but from a highway roll (60+mph), my car would pull away easily.

I owned an 85 vf1000r (bought new)..basically a modded v65...believe me that bike will own all but the very fastest g-35s

Just wanted to ask....is anyone in here running a stillen supercharger w/ the stock 17s? Just wanna know how the traction is...or is it not enough power to make a big difference.

Thread got kinda off topic but i'll post my info right when I get my dyno done around next week.

I have Injen CAI, Greddy Sp2 Mufflers
Stillen Stage 1 being installed as I type.
Gonna upgrade to Stage 2 around December....Then work on the tranny. Or should I worry about getting wider tires.
Just wanna say Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the welcome! I'll definitely be getting it on the dyno, but it won't be in the near future.

Not sure if I want to bother replacing that black upper tensioner pulley on the serpentine belt. It's just a tiny bit out of balance, but don't think it matters much. What do you guys think?

Also, got the new 4rib belt in and installed it. Accidentally tightened it too much and it shredded within 1 second of firing up the car. Needless to say, I was not happy. Had to throw the old cracked belt back on until another one comes in. I think I'm gonna order 2 this time just to be safe.

Running this setup with the Stillen CAI and their heatshield/airbox setup, I have NO room to install my oil catch can. Are any of you running this setup? Where the hell did you mount it up?

I have put my stock 17's back on a couple times. You will have traction issues, they are not wide enough. I had a few problems with my 245/35/20's before I went to 275/30's.

You won't have problems on the dyno but on the street you will.

Damn...lol But isnt it because your up at stage 4? Im only at 1. How big of a difference is it from stage 1 to 2? Or 2 to 4?

btw im jealous of your s2k projectors. I had a s2k retro done (by Larry @ HID Planet) on my old car..n man those things lighted up the road. Cant get any brighter/wider than those... unless you have a modded ls430 projector .
I upgraded to 06 projectors on the g but theyre just not the same

You wouldnt happen to do retros do you?

its a huge difference from stage 1 to 4,when i was stage 1 and 2 as long as i didnt go nuts off the starting line i was ok.just keep traction control on when going thru the twisties and youll be fine.

The sound is one of the best parts.

Do you have an aftermarket intake? If not and you add one it will be even louder.
