Ive had a few days to drive with the stage 4. It makes a lot of difference. My car feels fast not quick. Love it. cant wait till the 23rd I will be running the 1/4 mile at fontana. see if my time improves. I was running 13.00 all day on stage 2. never ran 1/4 on stage 3. Dont think it would have made any difference. This should move my time up hopefully to 12.5.!

do you need to have a Stage 2 SC before you go Stage 3?

procharger is a good unit just make sure you get it tuned and do not run the tune it comes with.upper rpm timing is not addressed with this kit and you must pull timing in the upper rpm or sooner or later......boom.that is what this kit was famous for.pros to the stillen is plug and play,no tuning involved.around town and short runs the stillen will beat the ati. procharger.cons 1/4 runs the ati will beat the stillen.stillen is still the most reliable f/i unit out there.

The procharger is a centrifugal SC like the vortech as where the Stillen is a roots style. The Stillen makes tons of power off the line with no lag and then starts to die off ~5000-5500 rpm. The Vortech and ATI start to spool up @3000-3500rpm and go to redline. That is the core difference. Also the Stillen can't be tuned and the others have a FMU that can be tuned.

The Stillen kit makes lots of power under the curve where the others make higher peak power but the under the curve power is about the same.

It all comes down to what you want out of your FI kit.

If it makes you feel any better I kept up with a JWT 350Z making ~6psi this weekend. We played around from Phoenix to Prescott the back way up the spars. I kept up pretty well. We are going to meet up again soon and do some real races to see how bad I loose.

I was out late with a long lost friend and he wanted a show as to how fast my car was. I don't know what he had, even if he had anything at all, but anyways, light turns green and we both start to slowly start move, then he floors it basically at the same time that I did. By the time I get up to about 80 he was about 2 car lengths on me.

His car looked like a total piece of **** and I was just so disappointed in myself. I am running the Stg III pulley as well.

I never would have thought that he would have been able to pull on me and I know that it would have been worse at the drag.

To make the night worse, I pulled up to an old Honda road bike. I think that it had a V65 emblem on it? He nodded and we were off. I got so spanked by that bike, it wasn't even funny. It looked like a bigger piece of crap than that mustang.

I went home 0-2.

Even though I really don't say that I street race, I remind everyone that this was on an open 6 lane road at midnight.

Well, I did some searching and I think that I found roughly what the bike looked like. I could be wrong as it was night and everything happened so quickly.

Don't feel bad about those losses at all. Those 5.0 mustangs are rediculously cheap & easy to make fast. Two car lengths by 80 isn't too bad.

As far as the bike goes... Yes it's 20+ years old, but still has an excellent power to weight ratio. I bet that bike runs low to mid 12's in the 1/4. Bikes just get out of the hole so damn fast. My dad has a built Harley that runs 12.60's at 103 mph. My last car ran 12.90's at 110 mph. He would blow me away from a stop, but from a highway roll (60+mph), my car would pull away easily.

There are only 2 options:

1. The Stillen Hood, or

2. Your stock hood with a hole cut out of the top and the use of Stillen's Hood Cowl.
