For the rear diff, a good synthetic such as mobile one would be sufficient. For the ATF, if you don't use the official Nissan brand J-Matic, it will void your tranny warranty.

Can someone confirm that our manual or service booklet recommends to change MT fluid at 30k miles? I've been asking my dealer to change it, and he tells me it never needs to be changed, and kind of refuses to do it. Anybody with information?

I changed mine for the first time at about 42k. It was black as tar with lots of metal flakes in it.

Never???!!!! Sounds like a crazy man to me. Normally when you change your Clutch, they have to drain the Tranny fluid, so that might be why he says never, because he figures your going to change your clutch enough to not have to worry about your tranny fluid.

6MT Coupe
^^^Good find, thanks.

I've heard of some that work well too.
GM Synchromesh FM (semi synth blend) and Redline MTL.

‘Bythabay’, known as the local maintenance ***** on here, recommended:
Amsoil SVG (rear Diff) and Amsoil MTG (gearbox)

Here’s the post, which also talks about when to change fluids:
